Who Is The "Antichrist"?

For nearly two thousand years, theologians and laymen have speculated about "the Antichrist." Dozens of political, military and religious leaders have been dubbed "the Antichrist." Usually, he is seen as the embodiment of all evil; a satanic, devious, plotting conspirator who seeks the overthrow of God's church, and along with it the overthrow of democracy and freedom, if not the destruction of all mankind. Is there such a person? Is he alive NOW, and will he become prominent in world affairs in the future? Just Who, or What, is the infamous "Antichrist"?
