ANSWER:

One could give lots of scriptures on this. I will give you a few:

Gen 1:1
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Actually, this is all you need. If the Bible is the Word of God, this verse says it all, doesn't it. If the verse is a lie or incorrect in some way, then none of the Bible is to be believed. Really rather simple, isn't it? But we will continue...
