Everyone knows that Ross Perot, dubbed the "little hand grenade with ears," said, "That strange sucking sound you hear is American jobs going to Mexico," and as a result was labeled a dangerous reactionary and worse. Americans rejected Mr. Perot at the polls.

Now, looking back at NAFTA after all these years, one must ask how it is that a 900% increase in trade deficits — from a pre-NAFTA deficit of $10 billion with Canada and Mexico to a $90 billion deficit today — represent success?

Mexico is booming. My previous vehicle, a Ford pickup, was made in Mexico. Today, only 13 per cent of the US labor force works in manufacturing! We have become a "service society," with millions of people working in the various service industries. Instead of exporting machine tools, rolling stock, locomotives, appliances, and a panoply of manufactured products, we import such items, and export, instead, McDonalds, designer jeans, movies, and heavy metal and "rap" CDs.

For decades, the United States has sought to "engage" dozens of foreign nations. We "hire" among nations who hate us; nations which harbor terrorists organizations. Witness the 2 billion or so we send Egypt each year. Saudi Arabia’s corrupt government is also supported by the United States. Even though we purchase billions of dollars from them in oil; have built huge 12,000-foot runways and airfields; military support facilities; sold them F-16's and AWACS aircraft and a massive amount of military hardware, the Saudi government did not allow the US Air Force to use those same facilities in attacks against Afghanistan.

We "engage" China, a brutal Communist dictatorship, by "trading" with the Chinese.

If one can call selling American high-tech secrets, such as sophisticated guidance systems for missiles a "trade," that is. Some might call it treason.

During the decades following World War II, the once mighty British Empire was gradually dismantled. Once boasting "the sun never sets on the British Empire," the British government now had to contemplate only its immediate "United Kingdom," consisting of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. Gone were the huge colonies and protectorates. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt, the Sudan, Kenya, Tanganyika, South Africa, Botswana (Bechuanaland), Uganda, Rhodesia, Singapore, British Guiana — from north to south and east to west, the possessions of the British Empire became independent. The last bastion of British economic and military power was lost in the last few years, when Prince Charles watched as columns of Red Chinese soldiers rode into Hong Kong, the British Tricolor came down, and the Communist Chinese flag was raised over this strategic city.

Meanwhile, the United States was forced to close Clark Air Force Base and other military installations in the Philippines and give up the Panama Canal, which was leased to a major Chinese firm having direct connections to the CHICOM army.

Thus, as my father and I had predicted for decades, the "sun had set" on the British Empire, and the U.S. and Britain were losing the "gates of our enemies" we had once held!

All of this was brought about by the force of world public opinion and the threat of the growing global power of the Soviet Union. The hundreds of millions of citizens of countries formerly governed by Britain screamed for freedom. The Mau Mau in Kenya, led by Jomo Kenyatta, who later became president, screamed "Uhuru!" meaning "Freedom." The Mau Mau were labeled as terrorists when they rampaged through the countryside, butchering white British settlers, many of whom were third and fourth-generation sisal farmers, who had provided jobs for the very people who became their murderers. Whites fled the British East African colonies in droves. From Burma to Belize, and from the Nicobar Islands to Nyasaland, the local populations rose up to throw off the mantle of British colonialism.

Today, the nation called for so long "the sick man" of Europe, due to their stagnant economy, finds itself drawn into an ever-widening coalition of nations called the "EU," or the European Union. God says of Britain, "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

"Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.

"For they are gone up to Assyria [modern-day Germany], a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.

"Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes" (Hosea 8:7-10).

Under the banners of "free trade" peaceful largess, such as foreign aid in the billions to countries which rarely, if ever, support the US and Britain in the United Nations, the US and Britain have weakened their industrial base, given away vastly important and strategic land masses, island fortresses, military bases, and naval ports.

God says of Britain, "Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people [like the United States, Britain has become a "melting pot" of many races and nationalities]; Ephraim is a cake not turned [meaning it is ruined, and unfit to eat].

"Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

"And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

"Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria [Germany].

"When they shall go [as they are doing right now!], I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard [for over 20 years, I shouted a witness and warning to England].

"Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me" (Hosea 7:8-13).

God says it is spiritual adultery for His people to have cultural, economic, political and military concourse with foreign nations. "She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies" (Lamentations 1:2). It is not the obvious enemies which will rise up and horribly afflict Britain and America, but those we have counted our "friends."

The more we mix among the nations; the more we call upon them for help; the more we give them our billions of tax dollars, the more we place ourselves in terrible national jeopardy.

God says, "And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband [see Jeremiah 31:32]; for then was it better with me than now.

"For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

"Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

"And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand" (Hosea 2:7-10). The Great Tribulation prophesied by Jesus Christ is to come PRIMARILY on modern-day Israel, the United States, and Britain!

Isn’t it significant that the current "WAR ON TERRORISM" sees little Israel, the United States, and Britain as the three staunchest allies, lined up against the entire Islamic world, and a monstrous collection of nations in Europe, who hold both Britain and America in contempt?
