Iran's military, strongest in region

Iranian Army Commander, Major General Ataollah Salehi has called the country's army the most powerful military force in the region.

Major General Salehi noted that Iran's military, particularly the army had been armed with the latest state of the art military equipment in order to boost its capability in defending the country.

He also highlighted that Iran had become self-sufficient in building most of the equipment and ammunition it needed.

"Military exercises and trainings are the most significant elements of our agenda at the army".

Salehi called the progress and achievements made by the army the outcome of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
