Emergency Forces Tour Temple Mount in
Preparation for Disaster Israel National News Police Chief Karadi, Jerusalem Police Chief Franco, ZAKA Rescue & Recovery organization volunteers and others took part in a visit to the Temple Mount today, a precautionary step in the event of a structural collapse of the area of the Mount known as Solomon’s Stables. The area was deemed unsafe for the large number of worshipers who usually attend Ramadan prayer service. Police announced earlier that no restrictions are being imposed for tomorrow’s prayer services, adding Wakf officials have agreed to take measures to prevent a catastrophe. Officials also expressed receiving cooperation from Jordan as efforts continue to avert an emergency response situation caused by structural collapse involving tens of thousands of Islamic worshipers. |
