THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL

Times are changing in Germany, and nobody sees it coming. More and more anti-Semitic incidents are taking place and few are reported, few are covered in the sympathetic pro-government media: The most recent was so shocking that not even the German media could avoid it.

Recently, in Munich, the cradle of National Socialism, and a conspiracy to blow up a Jewish cultural center was discovered in the nick of time. Bavarian Police detectives cracked a Nazi plot to destroy the Jewish cultural center, even before it was built. The intention was to destroy the building prior to completion. The German media says that the plot was “right-wing.” In Germany however, one has to question the truth that's reported. Nobody has asked the obvious question, “What was the Muslim connection?”

No doubt the story is correct, but how correct, is the question? That Germany has its Nazi movement is of no doubt. Although defeated in 1945, the National Socialists never really went away. They went dormant for years, but they never went away. After all, the Nazis are banned in Germany. It's a violation of law to display a swastika. Items from the Third Reich era sold at flea markets, or in antique stores have a little piece of tape covering the swastika, or SS runes or whatever. Pictures of Hitler, Goebels, and other top Nazis are technically banned, although such photos are again appearing in newspapers and magazines.

Most people are indifferent to the National Socialists and believe that although there are a few "nut cases" running around Germany, dreaming of a new German Empire, that nothing of the sort is ever possible or desirable to the German people. This will change.

ECONOMIC WOES UPON GERMANY

As of this writing, the German economy continues to get worse. There is no economic growth, taxes are confiscatory, and people are out of work. Many actually desire to work, although others take advantage of the lucrative social security benefits that Socialist Germany offers. The Socialist/Greens party under the leadership of Bundes Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has ruled Germany since Helmut Kohl was voted out of office in 1997. The Socialist/Greens coalition has raised taxes 49 times and continues to propose even more taxes. Old-time business concerns are packing up factories and moving to countries that offer better tax advantages. More and more people are being laid off from work. So far, the lucrative welfare program is holding out. Even as more immigrants arrive from the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and the welfare roles become more and more bloated, the government talks of more taxes. The Socialists have great antipathy for private business industry. Most believe that the government should take over private firms.

Welfare fraud in Germany has become a national pastime. More and more people are working “black” as they call it, in order to earn more money without taxes. Here's how it works: A worker becomes unemployed. This may occur either by choice, or by chance. He registers with the local Arbeitsamt, or Labor Office, as Arbeitslos, or unemployed. He may suffer an injury on-the job and be eligible for “retirement.” It's not difficult to find a sympathetic physician in Germany who will certify a worker as “disabled.” He is now eligible for social security welfare payments.

Once the worker is enrolled in social security and begins to draw his monthly stipend from the government, he has a guaranteed income. At that point, he begins to look for Schwarzarbeit, or under the table work. A bricklayer works way under the pay scale and builds a wall for a homeowner. The homeowner pays much less than he would if he engaged a legitimate construction firm, yet the bricklayer earns more money from building the wall than he ever would by working for a bricklaying company.

Millions are doing just this sort of “off the books” labor while collecting welfare from the government. Everybody knows about this sort of activity, and everybody knows somebody who works “Black.” Even I, an American expatriate in Germany know several people who work extra jobs in this manner, while collecting either unemployment or disability compensation from the German social security office.

My favorite story of a “Black” worker occurred when I lived in the town of Friederichsfeld, near Mannheim. My wife and I had just moved into our townhouse. We had a U.S. style washing machine and dryer installed. However, there was no hot water connection, as German washing machines have an internal heating element and thus have no need for a hot water connection. I soon met my new neighbor I'll call “Herr Hinkel.” Herr Hinkel is a different type of “Black” worker. This guy has a well paying job with a local plumbing firm. Herr Hinkel is a Master Plumber, and is also certified and in possession of a Meisterbrief or a Trade Master's Certification.

He approached me and announced that he had seen the washer delivered to my home. He also stated that I would need a hot water connection, and for a small fee, he would make the connection. I agreed, as he was after all my neighbor and I'd seen him around his home on several occasions. He told me that he would get his tools from his truck and come right over. Twenty minutes later, the hot water connection was installed, and I was asked for 200 Deutsche Marks, which was at that time $100 dollars. What a deal! I had already called a plumbing company and was quoted a price of 350 Deutsche Marks! We saved a bundle, and Herr Hinkel pocketed a quick two hundred marks! Only he paid no taxes on his income, and the German government lost.

Most Germans are rapidly assuming a new attitude, that being, “what's mine is mine.” They are most certainly tiring of the heavy tax burden that's been laid upon them. Some are even saying that if Germany was to do away with the social welfare system, FORCIBLY DEPORT the millions of non-German immigrants, then make people WORK again, that the economy might turn around and become prosperous again. This growing attitude may well be exploited by a soon to arrive political figure who will take charge of Germany and once again set out to build a strong nation, both economically and MILITARILY. It can happen, and most likely will. The Liberal Socialists have driven the German economy into the ground. For 2003, the German economy will experience NEGATIVE GROWTH for the first time since the immediate post-war years. Germany, the economic engine of the European Union is on its tail end. This in turn will take the other EU countries DOWN to Germany's low level of performance.

There may come a reprieve if the Germans wise-up and vote out the liberal socialist “Greens/Social Democrats” coalition, and elect a conservative government. However, the Germans have grown soft. They enjoy the benefits of not working. They enjoy all of the goodies that liberal socialism has provided. Germans like their five weeks of vacation each year. They like their 32-26 hour work week. They like the national norm of retirement at age 60 with a full range of benefits (lower for government employees). They like their socialized medical benefits and health care that nobody seems to have to pay for. The problem is, is that the German social security system, the cradle to grave socialist system is a “hollow house of cards.” THE SYSTEM IS GOING TO IMPLODE DUE TO MISUSE, ABUSE, AND CORRUPTION. Another problem that will no doubt encourage the demise of the German system is that legitimate persons are denied medical access, needed tests and procedures because HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED.

Additionally, the money is running out. Every day, there are more and more people enrolling in the social welfare programs in Germany. “Going Sozial is the in thing for many. Young people are going “social” as soon as they can, and in many cases aren't even beginning to learn trades, or professions. They ask, “Why should I?”

LIBERAL SOCIALISM WILL LEAD TO A NEW, REVISED NATIONAL SOCIALISM

The reunification of the two Germanys in I989 led to turbulent social changes in German society. The Germans in the old German Democratic Republic, or GDR, more or less pretended to work. They lost the famous German work ethic, and eventually forgot HOW to work. Communism provided plenty of vodka and cigarettes at cheap prices, and much time to sit around doing nothing. There was no incentive in the GDR to work; even if you had money, there is NOTHING TO BUY.

 Unfortunately, reunification has brought about the socialization of the entire German nation. Former members of the Communist Party of Germany have been resurrected and now serve in many government, civil service and military positions. In today's Germany, it's illegal to teach Nazi doctrine or ideology. However, the former communist educators from the GDR are free to espouse their ideology upon the youth of the German nation. Make no mistake about it; much of what young Germans are being taught is not pro-American, British, Canadian or Australian.

As I've written before, there's much anti-Semitism in Germany, and Europe as a whole. Last week, a poll was taken among Italian youths ages 17-30. A staggering 71 percent said that the world would be a better place if the STATE OF ISRAEL would just disappear!

In Germany and France, Jews continue to sit on “pins and needles” as their synagogues and cemeteries are desecrated, vandalized and disrupted. During this year's Feast of Tabernacles, several members of the “Greens/Social Democrat” coalition in the German Bundestag banded together and announced that, “Germany was not responsible for the Holocaust. The Jews were.” Their rationale for this idiotic statement was that Jews had actually been the ones who burned the bodies of their fellow Jews at Auschwitz, Treblinka and other death camps, so it was after all, THE JEWS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE. Following that outrage, a General in the German Army made a public announcement that supported his “Greens/Social Democrat” colleagues. He went on to say that, “THE STATE OF ISRAEL POSES THE MOST SERIOUS THREAT TO PEACE IN THE WORLD.”

The liberal socialist “Greens” are simply playing to old prejudices in Germany and Europe. Jews have never been popular here, and it appears that there is a concerted effort to turn people's attention away from the failures of the government, and direct it toward a helpless segment of society. If this seems familiar to you, it's because the same tactics have been used before, and not only by the Germans.

 Just yesterday, a Jewish Synagogue and civic center was attacked with car bombs in Istanbul, Turkey. Many Jews were killed, many injured. The German press, always held in close accord with the government, has hardly commented on this latest atrocity. I wonder why? Could it be that they are in sympathy with those who would murder Jews and destroy Jewish owned property? Look for increasing attacks against Jews worldwide, in Germany and the United States. Many attacks will be linked to Islamics, although our U.S. government will remain loath to admit it. After all, they tell us, “We aren't at war with Islam.”

Today, there are no Storm Troops in the streets of Germany, but I believe that such a time is coming soon, When the German economy collapses and the social welfare system falls into bankruptcy look for a “new order” to rise in Germany. That new order will cement a ten-nation conglomerate out of the old European Union, and begin building a SUPER STATE, a United States of Europe or a renewed Roman Empire, that will eventually dominate not only the rest of Europe, but a major portion of this world.
