The statement was part of an internecine war of words within the Democratic Party, with some leftist members of the caucus supporting Omar against attacks by the leadership.

Omar issued a statement Thursday clarifying her comments after she was met with a flood of criticism from not only Republicans on the Hill, but from members of her own party.

“To be clear: the conversation was about accountability for specific incidents regarding those ICC (International Criminal Court) cases, not a moral comparison between Hamas and the Taliban and the U.S. and Israel,” Omar said Thursday.

“I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems,” she added.

In a statement led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and joined by five other elected House Democratic leaders, the top officials thanked Omar for her clarification but warned against making drastic comparisons.

“Drawing false equivalencies between democracies like the U.S. and Israel and groups that engage in terrorism like Hamas and the Taliban foments prejudice and undermines progress toward a future of peace and security for all,” the group wrote.

“We welcome the clarification by Congresswoman Omar that there is no moral equivalency between the U.S. and Israel and Hamas and the Taliban,” the statement concluded.

The immense backlash came after the congresswoman questioned Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a House Foreign Affairs Committee about ICC investigations into U.S. and Israeli actions in Afghanistan and the Palestinian territories.

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned the attacks from fellow Democrats, calling them a “mischaracterization” and dangerous.

“Pretty sick & tired of the constant vilification, intentional mischaracterization, and public targeting of Rep. Ilhan Omar coming from our caucus,” she said.

LevinTV host Mark Levin shredded President Joe Biden’s speech to the nation on the progress made to end the COVID-19 pandemic as “the most disgusting, propagandistic speech” any politician has ever given on Fox News Thursday.

“I used to think Joe Biden was a doddering fool. He couldn’t tell his sister from his wife, and he didn’t know the name of the secretary of defense, and there you are with Peter Doocy mocking him for not having press conferences,” Levin told Sean Hannity sardonically. “Now I know why he doesn’t have press conferences. He’s busy inventing the [vaccines] and figuring out how to distribute them.”

“In seven weeks’ time this man will have killed the virus. Joe Biden, 50 years in the Senate, not one profound thing. Joe Biden, who had to cheat his way through law school. Joe Biden, who was plagiarizing from people, even as a senator. And little did we know, he’s not a doddering old fool, an egomaniac, and a narcissist taking credit for the work of Donald Trump and all these other people. He has been working like no president in American history! He is the modern-day Jonas Salk,” Levin said, referring to the virologist and medical researcher who developed the first successful polio vaccine. “He’s Thomas Edison! We’ve never had a president like this; he’s fantastic!”

“Let me tell you something about this guy Biden,” Levin continued. “He’s a liar, he’s a plagiarist.”

Levin accused Biden of taking credit for former President Donald Trump’s work with Operation Warp Speed to fund the development and distribution of a vaccine against the coronavirus in record time.

“The Trump administration, last summer, before we had a vaccine, just in case one of these would work, contracted and paid for 800 million doses to cover 400 million people,” Levin said. “On Dec. 23, when only Pfizer and Moderna had received emergency authorizations, the Trump administration went in and they ordered another 200 million vaccinations. Where do you think these vaccines are coming from? You think they’re coming from Joe Biden in the basement? They didn’t have any idea what the hell was going on. … In the end, before Donald Trump left office, he had contracted for enough approved vaccines to inoculate 550 million people.”

He went on to say:

This speech that Joe Biden gave is the most disgusting, propagandistic speech that a demagogue, even a politician, has ever given. It is pathetic. And you’ll notice he and his spokesperson Psaki never tell us exactly what they’ve done and exactly who’s done it. That is so different from the Trump administration.

This is so appalling. This man has exploited this pandemic like no politician has ever exploited a pandemic. When he’s sitting in his basement eating his oatmeal that’s dripping on his loafers, what does he do? He accuses President Trump of killing hundreds of thousands of people when it’s Trump who gets the testing done, when it’s Trump who’s getting the ventilators and the respirators, when it’s Trump who’s getting the PPE, when it’s Trump who’s bailing out fools like Cuomo with hospital beds and so forth and so on.

“The Democrat Party has been a disaster,” Levin concluded. “The Democrat governors have destroyed their economies; people can’t get out of their states fast enough to go to Republican states. This is a disgrace, what Joe Biden did. And by the way, he says it’s a war on the virus, well, who started the war? Communist China — his friends. What did he say about communist China today? On Feb. 2, during what would be his final live show on the Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network, iconic radio host Rush Limbaugh gave one caller advice by looking back over his own career and closed the program with a warning to President Biden against alienating blue-collar workers.

Limbaugh, who died Wednesday at the age of 70, began the program by admonishing leaders of The Lincoln Project over their relationship with disgraced co-founder John Weaver.

Later in the program, Limbaugh took a call from Sarah in Glendale, Ariz., who expressed frustration with the state and local Republican Party apparatuses.

Sarah explained that she and her husband had moved to Arizona from New York City because they did not feel represented as conservatives. However, she said they still found it difficult to be politically active in their new home.

Limbaugh responded that the concept of working one’s way up from the bottom had become an antiquated idea in modern politics and society.

“I think that, frankly now, is B.S.,” he said. “When I was young, that’s how things were done. That’s the only way you could advance, unless you know somebody, because there are elites everywhere.”

“You started small and you had to prove yourself at every step along the way.”

Limbaugh recalled starting his radio career in his hometown of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

“Then I got a job at a suburban station in Pittsburgh,” he continued, noting that his affection for the Pittsburgh Steelers stemmed from his time there.

“You just climbed the ladder, hoping somewhere along the way you get a break, and I didn’t get mine for 20 years [until] Sacramento, 1984 — and that’s just how you did it.”

However, Limbaugh added, the recent furor over retail investors spiking the share prices of companies like GameStop and AMC showed that the working man could make thousands of dollars in a single day.

“Some guys earned, on GameStop, enough money to put their kids through college for four years in one day. It’s not generationally necessary — you can still start small, get experience and build yourself up.

“I would apply the same thing here to politics. It used to be the same way; you’d have to advance in electoral politics.”

They’re taking jobs away from you,” Limbaugh said. “This is what Biden and his administration are hell-bent on doing. They want you to become dependent on them, a ward of the state. “Odds are,” Limbaugh later added, “there are a lot of people who voted for Biden who had no idea what he’s going to do and what’s yet to come, and that’s why I say they’re going to overstep — and it isn’t going to take them long, and it isn’t going to be pretty when all kinds of people are going to start to figure it out.”

The Democrats simply moved the goalposts and began claiming that there doesn’t need to be a quid pro quo for this conversation to serve as the basis for impeaching the president.”

The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee then blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for saying Democrats have other “candidates for impeachable offenses” if the latest controversy didn’t meet the bar. At issue in the complaint was Trump’s July phone call with Ukraine’s president in which he sought an investigation of the Biden family. A transcript of the call released by the White House confirmed that request but did not show Trump explicitly leveraged U.S. aid as initially suggested in reports.

“So, there you go. If their whistleblower operation doesn’t work out, the Democrats and their media assets can always drum up something else,” Nunes said.

Nunes then listed a series of issues with both the whistleblower and the complaint, such as the inspector general finding “arguable political bias” against Trump.

“So, once again, this supposed scandal ends up being nothing like what we were told. And once again, the Democrats, their media mouthpieces, and a cabal of leakers are ginning up a fake story, with no regard to the monumental damage they’re causing to our public institutions and to trust in government, and without acknowledging all the false stories they propagated in the past,” Nunes said.

Nunes said the media used the same playbook for countless allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

Fox News’ Jesse Watters said as much in the wake of their reaction to President Trump’sdefense of upcoming Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement (ICE) raids.

“You have Democrats saying don’t follow the laws of our country. They want American citizens to follow the laws but they don’t want illegal aliens so at this point you have to think, do they want any enforcement? They don’t want it in the interior. They don’t want it at the border,” Watters said.

Co-host Greg Gutfeld praised Trump and the logic of the immigration raids.

“Word gets out that we’re going to deport people who are there illegally disincentivizes people from coming here. It’s the opposite of waving caravans through,” Gutfeld said.

They proved it on Friday when they voted against a GOP measure that would have put the House squarely against permitting illegals to vote.

But the party of open borders had good reason to vote down the symbolic Republican measure: Illegal aliens vote for Democrats, and it appears that permitting illegals to vote in federal elections might be their next move.

Lewis: We Want Them To Vote
The measure in question, an amendment to a major election bill, expressed the displeasure of the House in those states and localities that permit illegals to vote in state and local elections.

An identical measure passed in September when Republicans controlled the House.

It is simple and straightforward, and notes that “it is of paramount importance that the United States maintains the legitimacy of its elections and protects them from interference, including interference from foreign threats and illegal voting.”

The measure targets San Francisco, which “is allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in school board elections,” and notes that federal law prohibits illegals and other non-citizens from voting in elections for federal office.

Thus, it says, “the House of Representatives recognizes that allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”

But with just six Democrats voting yes, open-borders Democrats defeated the measure 228-197.

Lauren Fine, a spokeswoman for House GOP Whip Steve Scalise, pointed out that an identical resolution was adopted by the House last September. But on Friday, 41 Democrats flipped to oppose the latest measure.

“These 41 Democrats must now answer to voters why they were against illegal immigrants voting in elections six months ago, but are suddenly in favor of it now,” Fine said.

Even worse, the Washington Times reported, Representative John Lewis (D-Ga.), a civil rights hero, boldly stated that “we are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in.”

Another Democrat complained that taking a stand against illegal-alien voting was “a political effort to divide us, to sow hatred, and it’s a game.”

No, it’s not a game, as the 2008 elections showed.

The consequences of illegal-alien or non-citizen voting are bad enough in state and local elections. But they’re even worse in the federal.

Noting that non-citizens’ voting “preferences [are] skewed toward Democrats,” the scholarly journal Electoral Studies reported in 2014 that illegal-alien or non-citizen voters likely elected former Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.) and handed North Carolina to Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.

“If more than 5.1 percent of non-citizens residing in North Carolina turned out to vote in 2008,” the journal reported, “then the vote margin they gave Obama would have been sufficient to provide Obama with the entirety of his victory margin in the state. Since our best estimate is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens actually voted, it is likely though by no means certain that John McCain would have won North Carolina were it not for the votes for Obama cast by non-citizens.”

McCain still would have lost the election, of course, and by a large margin. But who won and who lost isn’t the point. The rule of law is.

“A similar analysis reveals that there was one House race and one Senate race during the 2008 and 2010 election cycles which were close enough for votes by non-citizens to potentially account for the entirety of the Democratic victor’s margin,” the journal continued.

That senate race, the authors wrote, “ultimately decided by 312 votes for Democrat Al Franken, was of critical national importance. It gave Democrats the filibuster-proof super-majority needed to pass major legislative initiatives during President Obama’s first year in office,” most significantly, ObamaCare. It “would have had a much more difficult path to passage were it not for Franken’s pivotal vote.”

How did the authors know illegal aliens likely elected Franken? “The MN 2008 Senate race is also the race where the smallest portion of non-citizen votes would have tipped the balance — participation by more than 0.65% of non-citizens in MN is sufficient to account for the entirety of Franken’s margin. Our best guess is that nearly ten times as many voted.”

Democrats know illegal aliens are a vital voting block. Thus, permitting them to vote locally is a mere prelude to the same in federal elections.

As Lewis said, “we are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in.”

I was one of the only commentators in the media who predicted a presidential victory for Donald Trump in 2016. I stood firm on Fox News with my prediction even when The New York Times gave Hillary a 92 percent chance of victory. Don’t look now, but as Yogi Berra would say, “It’s deja vu all over again.”

Democrats are so certain of winning the House that they’re measuring the curtains. The Democrats’ chief fool and delusional prognosticator, Nate Silver, just gave them an 85 percent chance of winning the House.

I predicted Trump’s victory because 10,000 to 20,000 people were showing up to his events in 2016. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton was attracting hundreds. It was clear Democrats were delusional.

Fast forward to today. Trump attracts 10,000 or more to rallies in small towns such as Elko, Nevada. He attracts 100,000 RSVPs to a Houston rally for Ted Cruz. Yet the potential 2020 Democrat presidential front-runner, Joe Biden, comes to Las Vegas and attracts 500 to a union hall.

The latest polls show incumbent Democrat U.S. senators trailing in North Dakota, Missouri and Indiana. In early voting, the GOP is ahead by a mile in states across the country. In Tennessee, Republican turnout is up 33 points. Keep in mind the GOP never wins early voting.

Why is this happening? Because Democrats have made the biggest mistake in the history of U.S. politics. I’m not even talking about the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. That was the second-worst mistake.

I’m talking about the timing of the caravan coming from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico to the U.S. border. I suspect this is the work of liberal, socialist and communist activists under the direction of George Soros (and other America-hating, open-borders-loving billionaire donors to the Democrat Party). They wanted to embarrass Trump and cause an international incident. But boy, did they miscalculate.

This is the perfect issue at the perfect time for Trump and the GOP. This has made illegal immigration, open borders, sanctuary cities, the Abolish ICE Movement, the wall and every other immigration issue the defining, shining moment of the 2018 election. These are the issues that elected Trump. These are the issues that make Trump look like a genius and soothsayer.

This massive foreign invasion represents everything that frightens middle-class Americans — criminals, drugs, disease, the bankruptcy of America, lower wages for U.S. workers, higher taxes, unimaginable debt and the overwhelming of our health care, education and welfare systems. Almost certainly mixed into this invading army are ISIS terrorists. Our children’s lives could be in mortal danger.

This is an invading army, an act of war. We are staring at the end of America. Only Trump can save us. This is how many normal American citizens see it.

Yet Democrats either defend the invading army or say nothing, while winking and nodding. What a stunning miscalculation.

Game. Set. Match. Expect a stunning red storm victory for Trump and the GOP on Nov. 6. As usual, Democrats won’t know what hit them.
