The Strait of Hormuz has always been strategic, but now more than ever. All that oil has to pass, though, and we’ve been talking about the passageway forever. Dad did programs where that was front and center. How’s the war going? There are many reports, and I’m sure every news organization wants an eyewitness. How would you like that job?

People are crazy in the Middle East. I don’t know why, but they are and always have been. Sometimes you hear the most fantastic tales, knowing it never happened, but playing along. I had a good time, but those days are over. 

Who knows what’s going on? You would have to volunteer for some pretty rough duty to know for sure. The Arabs talk big. Don’t believe them. Negotiations are breaking out so that you can hardly keep up. Call us when it’s over. 

People are worrying about WWIII again, buying property in South America and so forth. Me? I don’t want to leave home ever again. Much less go to some bunker in Argentina. The Drudge Report keeps showing pictures of Putin with that angry look on his face. What? He wants to rule the world? Good luck with that. If he survives the comrades, maybe.

What with Elon’s chances of colonizing the moon, we need to get off Earth? That will be the day! I like it here.

Back in the day, my Grandad was just sure that humans wouldn’t be allowed in space. That was the ‘60’s. The music was great but the predictions, not so much. I wish my Grandad could see everything happening now. It would be interesting to get his take. The very idea that we’re still here in 2026! 

But right now we’ve got more trouble than bad predictions.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been at each other’s throats for about two days.  If you’d have told us last week that we’d be in the middle of a terrible fight this week, I wonder who’d have believed it.  Suddenly there are all kinds of questions.  Personally, I think they ought to bury the hatchet and get on with saving the country.  But this thing may get a lot worse before it gets better.  What?  Did they go from being on the same team to mortal enemies in warp time?  Maybe there’s something we don’t know.  Musk has accused Trump of being ensnared in the Jeffrey Epstein saga.  

Enter Steve Bannon.  He’s saying, according to the media, that Elon is a Chinese agent.  I’m not going to pretend to know how this thing is going to work out, but one thing is for sure, the subject has been changed.  Oh, what a tangled web…  Now even Epstein’s lawyer says that he had no information that would damage Trump after Elon suggested there was information coming out that would damage Trump beyond comprehension.

It looks like they’re trying to destroy each other. But that’s where all the news has gone. If you want to know what’s going on in American politics, you have to check the foreign papers. It’s not to be found in the domestic press, at least not until the British papers have broken the story.

Last I heard the Democrats were imploding.  But the subject has been changed.  It looks like we’re going to be drug through the details of stuff we don’t even want to know about. It seems like all the nonsense we’ve lived through in recent years is going to get adjudicated, and we’re going to have to watch.  Or at least hear about it.

Russia and Ukraine are doubling down on their war.  If Ukraine is lucky they’ll just get out with the damage they’ve already sustained.  But things appear to be escalating.  Ukraine is sending drones to attack Russian fighter jets deep inside Russia. We hear of drones deep inside Russia, blowing up aircraft.  The Capital of Ukraine is sustaining air strikes from Russia.  It looks like the war is escalating, but who knows?  Maybe they’re just getting in their last jabs to get our attention before peace breaks out.  I’m hoping.  Then again, maybe Trump doesn’t have that much influence half-way around the world.

Who knows what’s going on in the Middle East?  Israel apparently is blowing up Gaza.  Any thoughts residents may have of returning have been reduced to rubble.  

From what I’ve gleaned, the Houthis have been chastened. The Houthis?  What a terrible name.  They’ve backed off in the Red Sea.  They were routinely attacking ships, and now they’re not.  Nobody’s on the ground over there, so we don’t know exactly.  But it’s not pretty, and the main thing is they’re not attacking ships anymore.

Europe thinks it has the upper hand. They’re still saving the planet, and making arrangements they think will hamper Trump’s influence. Ukraine better get under control before they drag the whole world into this dispute.  

Barring the thing in Ukraine growing, and it appears Europe is counting on it, we may not be on stand-by right now.  But then we’re always on stand-by.

PRESIDENT Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s relationship has publicly crashed and burned as the two former allies exchanged blows on social media on Thursday.

The feud began when Trump addressed Musk’s criticism of the president’s “big beautiful bill” in the Oval Office. But it dramatically escalated when the Tesla mogul called for the president’s impeachment and brought up Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The feud started three days ago, when Musk began fuming over the president’s signature spending legislation that’s currently making its way through Congress.

The tech mogul’s three-day takedown came to a head when the president was quizzed about the bill in the Oval Office on Thursday, prompting Musk to reply in real time on X.

Now Zuckerberg is in trouble.  Turns out that his company was working out algorithms to snare Chinese people and I don’t know what all. 

Will Trump get revenge on those who have not been very kind, in this case maybe someone who sold out the country?  I guess a court with all the information can figure that out.  They thought Trump was down and out for good.  Every kind of lawfare was unleashed against him, and now he’s in charge. Maybe if they’d have laid off, let bygones be bygones.  But no.  They tried to bury him.  It would be nice if everybody would just go about their business, but now it’s time for a founding principle to take hold.  

I know everybody’s tried to make nice.  It was a who’s-who at Mar-a-Lago, so many people were showing up we could scarcely keep track.  But everybody’s not off the hook.  It’s going to be hard to watch, but justice may be coming for some big names.  If they sold out the country for corporate profits, good luck to them.  

Trump has the whole world jumping around hoping to stay on his good side.  Things are being turned upside down, and needed to be.  This thing with USAID is unbelievable.  Our tax dollars have been sent overseas for stuff we’d never sign up for.  We’re going to be finding out information we’d just as soon have done without, some reprehensible stuff.  I’m not going to detail it in the Update.  No way I’m letting that in my mind.  

The usual suspects are running rampant, for now.  They’re crying crocodile tears over some man who got deported.  They’ve got his wife, and she’s beside herself.  One guy, and not a particularly nice one, got swept up in the deportations.  We all feel the wife’s pain, but her guy was not exactly pure as the driven snow.  The media’s all up in arms, crying for his return to the United States.  Maybe both of them should be deported!  We’re not the world, I don’t care what they sang at Disneyland, we’re the United States and proud of it.  We’re no longer a dumping ground, the words on the Statue of Liberty notwithstanding.  Maybe the French saw this day coming.

Have you ever seen everybody so energized?  Either they are outraged at Donald Trump’s decisions, or they’re trying to make nice.  Maybe he won’t notice.  The media is trying to equate Donald Trump and his team with the mafia.  They’ve tried to make something out of everything.  Maybe they’ll find something, eventually, but I doubt it.  What do you do about a man (several men actually) that can’t be bribed?  We’re in uncharted waters. 

The whole world has been turned upside down, and nobody knows what to do.  Rich men who love the country making the decisions? How good does it get?  The democrats are losing their minds.  They never expected that they were so out of touch.  They thought they’d just keep turning up the heat, and there’s no denying that we are long-suffering people, but they pushed it too far.  If you watch a Trump interview, like the one with Oprah, you’ll get a glimpse.  He was a much younger man at the time, but we were spending like drunken sailors and the financial system couldn’t stand like this forever.

They’re crying over the circumstances just now, and no doubt there’s going to be some pain.  The wild gyrations of the stock market are causing losses for Trump supporters.  But if we survive what Elon is doing and play along we’re going to be glad we did.  

I thought we were done for, the damage was irreparable.  And it might have been, but it’s a whole new era.  We’ve got geniuses looking out for us, and the heartbroken breast-beaters are crying in their beer.  I don’t know how things are going to turn out with Canada.  They were inclined to look upon Americans with jealousy about the election. But that was before Trump suggested we should make Canada a state.  Now I don’t know how they feel.  It turns out that there’s some trade imbalance that Trump wants straightened out.  Uh oh.  We’ve always been friends with Canada, and we’d like it to stay that way.  But business is business.

You don’t know what’s going to happen in the Middle East.  Trump means business and they know it.  He’s given Israel free reign.  Everybody better straighten up and fly right, or there’s going to be hell to pay.  Literally.

Here and there they’re still preaching the nonsense we’ve been putting up with for all these years.  I don’t think that can go on much longer.  Forty years later, we’re not scared anymore, I don’t care what Al Gore says.

Who knows what’s going on at Heathrow airport? They haven’t found any evidence of foul play yet, but 2,000 flights a day? The fire at Heathrow is going to disrupt people’s travel plans. We better not find out it was terrorism. Trump will not be pleased.

It’s been an historic week. The Department of Education has been gutted, in an orderly way. Now that’s something to celebrate! They’re not going to be pushing anything down our kids’ throats, like global warming or unheard of genders. While we’ve been waiting and wondering, plans have been hatched. None of this happened without war-gaming the whole thing. Then we’re watching a virtual flooding of the system with executive orders, by far more than any former President.

Greenpeace has been virtually put out of business. We’ll wait for the next shoe to drop, but the amount they have to cough up will probably do them in. Who will save the whales? Six million? That ought to cool their jets.

Suddenly, the mainstream is all self-righteous. They claim Trump has got too much of his personal wishes involved, and what’s democratic about that? I saw a picture today, the Drudge Report has got a photo of Elon in front of a Chinese flag. Maybe we’re just seeing what they want us to see. The idea that we’ve got one of, no THE richest man in the world figuring out how they’ve been fleecing us – that’s scaring them to death!

Mr. Musk has become so hated that there are attacks on Tesla dealerships and cars. I never wanted to drive an electric car. That said, wasn’t Elon their hero? Isn’t he at the cutting edge as far as battery cars go? Never mind. He’s buddied up with Trump, so now the left’s hatred knows no bounds. When did you ever hate anybody enough to torch a dealership? But, that’s what insurance is for. I hope Elon’s has it. Imagine the insurance companies saying this has got to stop!

It looks like there is progress in ending the Ukraine war. We’ll all sleep a little better knowing that at least they’ve stopped shooting. But they haven’t stopped yet.

And the war in Gaza and our ships being attacked by the Houthis. Bunch of illiterates. Trump isn’t going to stand for it. They can wave their fists in the air and scream to high heaven, but then they better duck for cover.

You check out for fifteen minutes and there’s an announcement of another department closing.That suits me just fine.

Some judge decided that the terrorists flying back to South America ought to have their day in court, if they haven’t already. How dare Trump fly them somewhere before he’s had his say? It didn’t stop the flights. Does he think he has jurisdiction over the ocean? Too late. Now he’s barking orders like somebody cares.

It seems the judiciary wants to strike down what Trump is doing. It looks like they’ll be facing their own impeachment hearings. Who does he think he is?

There will be battles with the judges, Obama appointed enough of them. But it looks like that’s all they’ve got.

The border is already secure and ICE is rounding up bad guys that aren’t from here all over the place. The illegals are uncomfortable. They don’t want to go home and try to do it the right way. Most of the teeming mobs wouldn’t have passed muster for legal immigration anyway. My guess is they’re looking over their shoulders. But who will do the dirty jobs? The ones that came in the ‘80s, that’s who.

Trump seems to have lost any qualms he had about unabashedly supporting Israel. I don’t know how many threats they get before the President makes good on his promise. He hopes it doesn’t come to that, but these people are crazy!

With any luck, Trump will cancel our taxes. Maybe not. These yahoos have spent us into a pretty deep hole. But I think God decided to bless us once more, to give us another chance with His Blessings undeniable.

I know the left is screaming bloody murder, and it’s music to my ears.

Things are happening fast.  So fast that the political enemies have no time to respond.  I could have done without finding out where some of our tax dollars have gone.  The list is startling, and goes on and on.  For years we didn’t want to know.  We knew there were evil forces in our government directing money to things we never contemplated.  To hear the list is unbelievable.  Who else knew about all this massive funding of stuff we never heard of?  Somebody knew and was OK with it.

The media is trying desperately to get some disagreement between Trump appointees.  There will be some hurt feelings along the way, no doubt about it.  But its got to be done.  We’ve lived our lives knowing that someday the U. S. would run out of money and credit.  Well now, maybe not.

Trump thinks our debt, huge as it is, is only a drop in the bucket compared to our assets.  He’s no spring chicken when it comes to assets and liabilities.

We can finally sleep at night knowing that geniuses are on the job, and they mean business.  Are you kidding me?  The richest man in the world going after government waste?  He’s cut the lion’s share of the workforce in the businesses he’s acquired, and knows a thing or two about cutting inefficiencies.

I don’t know about Tesla, but everything else he touches turns to gold.  The media is making like he’s going to reap trillions with inside knowledge after auditing (for lack of a better term) the Federal Government.  

On other fronts, who knows.  I never liked Zelensky after I saw a poster advertising his comedy tour in Russia.  I’m not going to describe it.  He made a fool of himself during the televised White House meeting.  Now, who knows?  I have a feeling he promised Ukraine’s minerals to the Brits and is stuck.  We’re hearing that most of the minerals are on lands that the Russians have already taken, so he may be bluffing.  Anyway, he acted like… well, you’ve presumably seen it, so you already know.  

He started in on this diatribe, when he started telling us what we would feel.  That was a mistake.  Trump interrupted saying, “Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel.”  That was when things blew up.  Apparently Zelensky was escorted off the White House grounds, and it served him right.

Cross your arms and talk to president Trump, and all of us, like we owe you something.  That’s how I reacted, and I’m sure there’s room for other reactions.  He’s well practiced at getting Western nations to pony up.  But it didn’t work out too well in the White House.

It’s time to make a deal and stop the slaughter.  Trump is being tough on Putin too.  He promised tariffs that’ll have everybody crying if they don’t stop shooting in Ukraine.  

Trump has warned the terrorists.  They better come up with those hostages quickly, and I’m talking this weekend, or there’s going to be trouble.  Maybe they’ll be the first to call Trump’s bluff.  If that happens I’ll try to sleep through it.  I’ve heard it all, having been in the Middle East many years ago.  These must be the grandchildren of the people I talked to.  They must have been raised in the same system, because they all say the same thing over and over.  “The Jews took our land.”  Somebody’s land always gets taken in war.  You idiots started it!  Sorry.  I don’t have much sympathy.

But the hostages better get released or there’s going to be a reckoning.

Everybody’s on notice.  They’re jumping around all over the world, wondering what they can do to keep their heads down.  If we’re sending them money, it’s about to stop.  You think they’re going to stick their heads up and complain?

Two things are muddying the water right now.  The war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.  The U. S. is in a crazy situation right now, and we need to stop funding these wars.  It’s not like we have direct involvement, but we might get sucked into one of these conflagrations.  I hope, for whoever decides to take Trump on, they won’t.                            

For a long time we thought there wouldn’t be a revival of the United States.  It looks like we were wrong.
