The meeting began at around 2 p.m. EST (9 p.m. Kyiv time) on Dec. 28, and took place at Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. The talks lasted for nearly two hours, ending around 4:15 p.m. EST (11:15 p.m. Kyiv time). Zelensky arrived in Miami a day prior.

Before the meeting started, Trump and Zelensky took a few questions from journalists.

Trump offered a vague outlook on talks over a revised 20-point peace plan, saying the war could “either end or drag on for a long time with many more casualties.” He also said there was no deadline for reaching a peace deal and added that he believed both the Russian and Ukrainian leaders want an agreement.

“Operation Dragon Eye” was led by the U.S. Marshals Service Middle District of Florida and involved 20 agencies, state officials said. Eight people were arrested, with charges ranging from human trafficking, child endangerment, drug possession, and drug trafficking.

The investigation was focused on recovering or safely locating “critically missing” children in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. The children’s ages ranged from 9 to 17, officials said.

Milton did not go quietly, though, flooding neighborhoods, destroying homes, ripping the roof off a major sports venue and toppling a massive crane into an office building. Two deaths were confirmed in St. Petersburg and Volusia County, and one each in Polk and Citrus counties, as well as five in St. Lucie County on Florida’s east coast following tornadoes there.

Power outages inched higher during the day as the storm exited off the eastern coast of the state, and nearly 3 million homes and businesses were in the dark, according to poweroutage.us.

The center of Hurricane Milton could come ashore Wednesday in the Tampa Bayregion, which has not endured a direct hit by a major hurricane in more than a century. Scientists expect the system to weaken slightly before landfall, though it could retain hurricane strength as it churns across central Florida toward the Atlantic Ocean. That would largely spare other states ravaged by Helene, which killed at least 230 people on its path from Florida to the Carolinas.

Most of us have found some tranquility.  But that can be interrupted by seeing most any news report.  Much of the time, it’s not even news reports.  It’s someone angrily preaching some woke philosophy.  They’ve got Trump trials lined up for the networks to report on.  Nine person panels take turns giving an inside view, with Trump guilty whether proven or not.  Isn’t it exciting?  

It’s a good thing Trump has been indicted, and is facing trial in four jurisdictions. Now they’ve got all the details to sift through and opine about.  They just can’t be bothered with the news that there appears to be proof the pretender accepted money to tweak U. S. policy as Vice President.  Remember when he boasted about “getting the prosecutor fired?”  Why did he publicly brag about that?  Maybe he knew it would come up sooner or later and was signaling that it was just another day at work for a man of his stature.  Well, it has come up.  

Now there are reportedly thousands of e-mails under assumed names, many of them to his son.  The contents have been described as outlining U. S. policies, and sent in advance of their announcement.  Now back to the Trump charges.

It seems like everything that could go wrong for the country and the world has gone wrong.  We’re shackled to the never-ending embarrassment, and thinking surely this guy isn’t formulating complex policies!  Our border is so overrun, I can’t stand to look.  The Texas Governor Abbott has floated large buoys across the Rio Grande, and the government is suing to make them go away.  So here we go again.  How dare the governor try to secure his state.

When we first heard about it, the busing of illegal migrants to New York and other “sanctuary cities” seemed like a gimmick.  But it’s gone on and on, and now New York is wondering what they’re going to do with all the migrants. 

The United States appears to be under sustained attack from all directions, and we’ve got a pretender who tells stories about how he almost lost his corvette and his cat one time, to people in Maui who have lost everything.  The fire has spawned conspiracy theories as you know.  We hope to live long enough to find out what really happened. There apparently weren’t any sirens, no messages on cell phones.  It’s a complete disaster, with unknown dead and smoldering rubble in what a month ago was paradise.

Thank God the Florida hurricane was not as bad as predicted, but then, what is?  We get run over by things we don’t even believe in.  No doubt people are suffering the aftermath in the hurricane’s path, but it could have been worse.  

Don’t risk a peek at the mainstream news unless you want to be furious in seconds.  They’re  preaching white supremacy on CNN, it’s their main thing.  Aside from attacking Donald Trump from every direction.  Maybe I’m wrong, but I suspect these trials will be an opportunity to make public things the mainstream has not wanted to report.  Just a guess.  These prosecutors who got elected promising to go after Trump legally are probably going to rue the day they decided to go for it over such a thin pretext.

Meanwhile, the world is spinning out of control.  Russia is making overtures to Iran.  We’re on the brink of war with China, and we’ve got a “president” who’s completely out of touch and trotted out to say everything is under control.  But Ukraine is a  quagmire, and we’re firmly on the hook.  Nobody dares mention any who might take the pretender’s place, because the “family” isn’t convinced he can’t continue to run interference for years into the future.

We’ve got a mess domestically and internationally, and we’re worried about satisfying the demands of the philosophy that’s become mainstream.  It looks like the nation that fulfilled God’s promise to Abraham has gone off the deep end, into all manner of hideous persuasions.  May we remain faithful, and sane, as we WATCH this thing unfold.

Hours after Idalia slammed ashore as a powerful Category 3 hurricane at Keaton Beach in Florida’s Big Bend region packing winds of about 125 mph (201 kph), authorities were still trying to assess the full extent of damage in the hardest-hit areas.

Video footage and photographs from the region around Idalia’s landfall showed ocean waters washing over highways and neighborhoods swamped by extensive flooding at midday.

At a late afternoon news conference, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said there were no immediate reports of hurricane fatalities and that it seemed most residents in vulnerable, low-lying areas had heeded evacuation orders and warnings to move to higher ground.

We’re all seeing the catastrophic devastation along the path of Hurricane Ian.  You can only imagine the emotional impact of seeing your home leveled and everything destroyed.  But people have not even been able to return to pick through whatever remains.  The clean-up will take years.   The storm raged for some nine hours wreaking the devastation we’ve all seen.  The wind was blowing 155 miles an hour, and it went on for hours.  Causeways are breached, roads are impassable, and it may be some time before we know the death toll and the extent of damage.  An early estimate is $20 billion.  Meanwhile there is no electricity, no gas, no water.  This storm is still churning its way north.

So who bombed the Nordstream pipeline?  There’s all kinds of conjecture, and we don’t know who did it.  Unfortunately there’s video of the pretender saying he’d “end” the Nordstream pipeline.  When a shocked female reporter asked, “How are you going to do that?” He stammered and said, “I promise you we’ll end it.”  We’re all wishing he hadn’t said that.

Predictions are all over the map as to what happens with energy in Europe this winter.  Some have dire warnings, others think Europe will figure something out.  Russia’s not the only one with oil and gas to sell.  Logistics will have to be overcome.

Italy appears to have elected Giorgia Meloni as its first female Prime Minister.  Europe doesn’t know whether to panic or what to do.  She’s being painted as “far right,” and comparisons are being made with Mussolini (CNN, you might have guessed.)  At a time when the EU has bought in to every new wave doctrine, she’s talking about God and family and normal people.  Not about pronouns or saving the planet.  She’s not on board with the immigration from the Middle East and is encouraging Italians to have babies.  She’s a “euro-skeptic,” not campaigning to pull out of the EU, but unabashed in her criticisms.  She sounds way too much like somebody we know to be accepted by the media or the smug politicians who run the EU.  This makes things all the more interesting.

You might have guessed, YouTube removed one of her speeches due to her stated positions on several sensitive issues.  How dare she address the downside of popular policies, outraging the conventional wisdom!  These social media companies can call whatever they want “disinformation.”  Dare dispute one of their sworn beliefs with insults and they’ll be swift to punish.  Apparently it didn’t work.  She won Italy with 44% of the electorate.  

She’s anti-LGBTwhatever and the mainstream is pretty sure she’ll go rogue.  She’ll be a fascist and end up disappointing all her supporters.  You don’t suppose a backlash is beginning to build in Europe?  Nothing would disgust the mainstream media more.  After all, they’ve been choking us with nonsense for years, and they thought they had Europe in the bag.  Maybe not.

With the storm moving north and expected to make landfall again, we’re worried about our Feast site in Myrtle Beach.  It’s a location that has suffered storms and floods in the past, and we can only hope and pray that the Feast  of Tabernacles will go as planned.  Panama City seems to have escaped the brunt of it.  We hope everyone has made plans and preparations, and we’re all looking forward to a time of joy in spite of all the calamity around us.

The “extremely dangerous” storm made landfall with maximum sustained winds near 150 miles per hour, according to the center.

Floodwaters raced down streets and enveloped lawns along Florida’s southwest coast as heavy rains and high winds from historic Hurricane Ian roared.

“So this is going to be a nasty, nasty day, two days,” Gov. Ron DeSantis warned in a briefing Wednesday.

More than 1 million homes and businesses across Florida are without power, according to the tracking website poweroutage.us. Power outages should be expected statewide, Florida Power & Light warned.

As of 4 p.m., the storm’s center was located 20 miles northwest of Fort Myers. Ian will continue to slam much of the state with life-threatening storm surge, catastrophic winds and flooding, the National Hurricane Center said.

“We are now forecasting a catastrophic storm surge of 12 to 16 feet from Englewood to Bonita Beach,” the hurricane center advisory warned.

At 150 mph, Ian’s stunning wind speeds were within 7 mph of Category 5, the highest status on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale of Hurricane Intensity.
