Tehran, which had conditioned any deal with the U.S. in part on an end to fighting between Israel and Lebanon, earlier struck Kuwait, damaging its airport and injuring dozens while the U.S. military carried out strikes near the Strait of Hormuz.

The Israel-Lebanon ceasefire is contingent on a complete cessation of fire from the Iran-aligned Hezbollah militia and the evacuation of all its operatives from the South Litani Sector, a joint statement released by the U.S. State Department said following negotiations in Washington.

The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday carried out its largest wave of airstrikes yet against Hezbollah, the military said, after announcing that it would keep fighting the Iran-backed terror group in Lebanon, despite the two-week ceasefire with Tehran that came into place hours earlier.

The prime minister of Pakistan, who mediated between the US and Iran, declared in his post announcing the two-week ceasefire overnight Wednesday-Thursday that it would cover Lebanon as well. US President Donald Trump on Monday threatened Hamas with “hell to pay” if it does not disarm within a “very short period,” in remarks delivered alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after their meeting at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Hamas “will be given a very short period of time to disarm,” the US president said during a press conference. “If they don’t disarm, as they agreed to do… then there will be hell to pay for them.”

The warning was part of a series of remarks on key regional issues that Trump made to the press before and after a lunchtime meeting with Netanyahu and his team, including an assertion that the US would back an Israeli attack on Iran if Tehran continued to advance its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Earlier Friday, Israel’s army urgently warned people to evacuate parts of a Beirut suburb, vowing to retaliate against strikes which it said were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel.

Hezbollah denied firing the rockets at northern Israel, and accused Israel of seeking a pretext to continue attacking Lebanon. Israel has struck targets in southern Lebanon almost daily since a ceasefire took hold in November 2024, mostly targeting Hezbollah.

You don’t need me to tell you we’ve had two major attacks here in the U. S. this week. They still haven’t gotten to the bottom of the one in Las Vegas.  Why didn’t the guy get out of the Cybertruck?  What about the incident on Bourbon Street?  These monsters are over here!  

You know the time for talk is over when the terror starts. We’re only two weeks from Trump regaining the presidency and things are already underway. Hamas or whoever better be releasing hostages or there will be trouble. How crazy must these people be? They’ve been driven off, their top level commanders killed, and they’re still firing the odd rocket to signal they haven’t given up. They better get their ducks in a row. Arabic pride is off the chart.

Things are beginning to happen fast. We can only guess as to what is going on in the Middle East.  It appears the terrorist threat has been pushed back, and all the do-gooders have gone quiet.

They’ve gone quiet over here too.  Do you suppose they’re planning something, or are just out of gas?

It seems to me that God has looked down in His mercy and decided that we ought to have one more chance.  Would Grandpa Armstrong ever be surprised!  We were in the gun lap when I was in high school. They never saw Trump coming. Dad never did either. Would they ever be surprised!  

Man has had the power to destroy life on earth for eighty years. Thank goodness it’s never happened. We were pretty sure it was only a matter of time before the United States went down the tubes. Now, we’re pretty sure there will be a revival. Trump better have good security.

Our grandkids are going to read about what went on during the last twenty years and wonder what on earth? Everything got so crazy! How did we ever put up with it? In years future, people are going to look back and wonder where we were. We’ve seen the trajectory and we’ve just had a course alteration. The world will no longer be kicking around the U.S.A. Quite the contrary.  

Justin Trudeau thought he’d run down to Trump’s place and make nice.  He probably wonders what he was thinking.  Of course he got humiliated when Trump told him he could be governor after the U. S. takes it over.  But, that’s not going to happen.  Now it looks as though he’ll have to resign. You can’t react too quickly when it looks like something is about to happen. Trump plays the long game, and some interim decision might just be setting the table.  

First the wars have to be stopped. Israel seems to have the one in the Middle East under control. But the terrorists are not suing for peace, they would rather die. So that’s what is happening. The Bible tells us what we’re dealing with.

The war in Ukraine is worrisome. We’re giving Ukraine missiles and they’re firing them deep into Russia?  That’s not going to continue.  Trump says he’s going to try to stop it, but there will have to be negotiations and you know what that means.  Everybody is going to have to give up something. The whole thing seemed unnecessary in the first place. But Trump is saying there hasn’t been such carnage since WWII.  

It looks like we’re going to have some good years here in the U. S. I hope they don’t release all the secrets at once, but it’s about to begin, and I’m sure God knows what’s going on.

We can hardly believe what has happened.  The snow-globe has been turned upside down and it’s raining blessings.  Putin says Trump is in danger of assassination.  But they missed their opportunity, and maybe it’s too late.  Trump’s picks to head agencies have already been announced. Sometimes the ones who will head the agencies have been persecuted by them.  What we’ll find out in the coming weeks and months is anybody’s guess.  I’m guessing corruption.

Can you imagine the panic?  Especially by those who have abused some position to enrich themselves?   Look how everyone’s gone quiet!  There’s nothing left to say.  We won, they lost.  They’ve been calling Trump “Hitler,” now they’re coming to call at Mar-a -Lago, just so there won’t be any hard feelings.  Even Joe and Mika saw fit to pay a visit, as did Mark Zuckerberg.  Wouldn’t you have loved to be a fly on the wall?  We’ll never know if they’ve rehabilitated themselves or if they’re just trying to make nice after all the things they’ve said and the disgust they’ve shown.  

We can hardly believe that all the woke nonsense will soon be a memory.  They’ve been spoon-feeding us this garbage for nearly 40 years!  Hard to believe it’s been that long, but it has.  We’ve been living with a corrupt media and (we’ll find out) corruption in government, with the understanding that there’s nothing that can be done.  Thanks to tenacity, something can be done and will be done, unless the guy in the beach chair starts WWIII.  Even then, it would be better to have somebody like Trump on our side.

He’s bringing in geniuses to fix the government.  How good can the news get?  We can hardly wrap our minds around what is coming.  We’ve been surprised before, but nothing like what is coming.  All the celebrities who’ve said they’ll leave the country better be going this time.  I think we’re in for blessings we can’t even imagine, unless…

Unless Joe manages to start something huge before inauguration day.  The general consensus is that he wanted Kamala to lose.  He may have dementia, but there’s no hiding the smile he had on his face post election.   Relations may not have been all that good, but how could they be?  Both of them were ruining everything they touched.  The war in Ukraine has been a colossal waste, especially from our point of view.  Maybe Joe ought to stop giving missiles to Ukraine before something bad happens.  

Hezbollah and the terrorists are suing for peace!  All they can do is fire a rocket from some hiding spot and hope to escape before Israel takes them to the grave.  Winning the war is not enough anymore, as we’ve seen.  They never stop.  They haven’t stopped showing their anger and waving their fists since Biblical times.  They always talk tough, even in defeat.  We’d hate to remind them how many times they’ve let their emotions run beyond their capabilities.  Some of us remember.  

We’ve just experienced perhaps the most meaningful Thanksgiving ever.  May we never stop giving thanks.
