US President Donald Trump said early Thursday that he would not allow another Israeli attack on Iran’s South Pars natural gas field, after the IDF struck the key energy site the previous day.

Trump’s statement came after Iran attacked targets across the Gulf, including a gas hub in Qatar and oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, in response to the strike. The attacks were Iran’s latest targeting of the region amid the war with Israel and the US that began on February 28.

Dozens of Israeli settlers launched a large-scale arson attack on Palestinians in the West Bank on Tuesday, targeting factories and farmland between the major cities of Nablus and Tulkarem.

According to the military, soldiers detained several Israeli settlers who participated in the attack after troops were called to the scene. The suspects were then transferred to the Israel Police, which announced that it had taken four Israeli citizens into custody for questioning.

Dozens of extreme ultra-Orthodox rioters broke into the Tel Hashomer army base on Tuesday, protesting against draft orders that have been distributed to the sector.

An illegal protest took place near the base, the Israel Defense Forces’ main recruitment office, since the morning. More than 12 people have been arrested for disorderly conduct.

The Israel Police reported that an illegal demonstration prompted officers to deploy and work to maintain public order.

Despite announcing the gathering illegal, “violent riots began, with shouts of ‘Nazis’ aimed at the police, attempts to break through barricades, throwing bottles and objects at the police and horses, and even sitting under trucks,” the police said in a statement.

“The Israel Police views the right to protest as a cornerstone in a democratic state and allows protests as long as they are within the law. However, the police will not permit any kind of disorder or infringement of freedom of movement, and any behavior that might endanger the public’s peace.”

Israel has long insisted that UNRWA supports terrorism in general, and maintains that several UNRWA employees participated directly in the October 7 terror attack. Terrorists have repeatedly used UNRWA facilities to launch attacks and store weapons.

The IDF said in a statement:

Following intelligence indicating that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists and infrastructure were embedded inside the UNRWA Headquarters in Gaza City, IDF troops began a counterterrorism operation in the area earlier this week. At the start of the operation, the IDF opened a defined corridor to enable civilians to evacuate from the area.

During the operation, the Commando Brigade Combat Team under the command of the 99th Division conducted a targeted raid on a Hamas combat complex embedded inside a compound previously used by UNRWA. With the guidance of the Intelligence Directorate (J2), Maglan and Egoz special forces raided the compound and apprehended terrorists who tried to escape from the area.

Aljamal’s death was originally reported by Rami Abdu, the head of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, who claimed Israel Defense Forces soldiers raided the journalist’s home and killed him and several members of his family.

Seven lookouts were kidnapped alive from the base. Ori Megidish was rescued by the IDF in October, and Noa Marciano was killed by Hamas in captivity. Her body was recovered by the IDF in November and returned for burial in Israel.
