Greetings from Tyler,

You must have heard of the tourists and their guides that were terribly burned while they trekked an active volcano. There’s no way you can read any of the eyewitness accounts of this tragedy without an emotional reaction. Those poor people thought they were in store for a wonderful experience they’d always remember fondly. But they shouldn’t have gone, and the guides or tour operators shouldn’t have let them go. At least eight were killed. Many more were grievously burned, and are no doubt experiencing physical pain that is unimaginable. Please pray for them.

We’ve had a senseless murder spree in New Jersey, and it’s those reprehensible Black Hebrews who, in their mindless hatred for Jewish people went into a deli with long guns blazing. I have no idea what they believe, and what does it matter. But we all saw how nasty their behavior was toward a bunch of innocent high school kids who were on a D. C. field trip. Remember Chief-Spit-in-your- Face? These Black Hebrews were stalking back and forth calling those high school kids every evil epithet. The video of them rushing the New Jersey deli with long rifles is shocking. It was apparently an anti-Jewish act that resulted in the deaths of innocent people, only one of which looked to be an orthodox Jew.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has won an historic majority in the British Parliament, clearing the way for a British exit out of the EU. Finally! It’s only been three years since a majority of citizens voted to get out, and there has been a fervent effort to overturn that referendum, undo it or hold another vote ever since. Some of those smug socialist, Marxist elites have been given their walking papers in this election. Hopefully, it will be the last we ever have to hear from the likes of Jeremy Corbyn and his cohorts. Brexit is now seen as a sure thing and is scheduled to be secured on January 31. If you remember, the British voted to get out of the European Union, against the will of liberal politicians and the mainstream media BEFORE Americans turned out to elect President Donald Trump, and it wasn’t even close in the Electoral College. That brave move by the British population may well have inspired people here on the mainland to overthrow the entrenched Deep State in the United States. But that’s a job that hasn’t yet been accomplished.

The impeachment charade this week has proceeded at breakneck speed. They (the opposition politicians and the mainstream media) knew the Inspector General’s report was finally going to be released publicly and needed the impeachment nonsense to keep the narrative of the mainstream media on track. They also knew that Barr and Durham are well along in collecting the evidence of their attempted coup. They knew that this period in time at the end of the year would be very damaging to everything they’ve said for three years, so they couldn’t wait another minute to commence their sham impeachment. You hear all these accusations thrown into speeches, accusing the President of every evil intent, but they have no evidence, no facts, nothing. They hate his guts, and they hate ours too. They’ve got to tie him in knots so he can’t accomplish his goal of returning the U. S. to solid footing both economically and in foreign policy. Every great accomplishment is ignored or turned into some kind of mal-intent, and they gnash their teeth at President Trump day and night. It is absolutely clear as day that they made up “crimes,” and intentionally altered evidence to try this impeachment sham. They’ve stayed on offense because their actions have been “inexplicable” even to Inspector General Horowitz who did his best to provide them a fig leaf in his report. It’s not going to fly, as he had to admit in his testimony before the Senate.

When asked why the rush to jam through impeachment, Mrs. Pelosi said, “Rush? We’ve been at this for at least two years.” That’s the most coherent and truthful statement to come out of her mouth lately.

They thought that the last president had already shamed us into abandoning our beliefs and disabling our firearms. They can’t believe the crowds Trump draws for rallies. They can’t believe that he is ahead in nearly every poll, despite their best efforts to weight them (fraudulently) against him. They better hope that hanging his name with the insult of impeachment will damage him sufficiently that the low IQ set will go against him on the basis of his being impeached. Not likely, but we’ll see.

If you watched any protracted segment of the impeachment hearings, you know that those out to take down President Trump got eviscerated on Live TV. But they didn’t seem to notice or understand what fools they were making of themselves. They’re going to besmirch the name of Donald Trump with the impeachment insult because they have a majority in one house of Congress that allows them that hollow victory. Let’s hope they’re proud of themselves. It won’t last long. Whether by trial in the Senate or by Attorney General Barr or Mr. Durham, they’re going to suffer embarrassment at the very least, and with any luck, dozens of their heroes will do hard time. Here’s hoping and praying.

Maybe you’ve noticed. The United States has turned around economically and once again gained its superpower status around the world since we have a President who invokes the power and mercy of Almighty God. I don’t think that’s accidental. How about you?

Mark

PS: A new edition of 21st Century WATCH is in the printing and mailing process, and we hope you will receive it without delay. Dr. James Ricks is scheduled to deliver the sermon here in Tyler this Sabbath, and we have some other visitors that we don’t get to see very often as our annual Board meeting is set for this weekend. Thanks to all of you in this country and elsewhere in the world.

“President Trump’s scheme subverted U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine and undermined our national security.”

So reads the Democrat’s charade of an impeachment “report,” suggesting President Trump’s attempts to expose corruption in Ukraine were somehow politically motivated. The report’s author, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., went on to describe the president as “unbound” and “unaccountable”—because Schiff is a model of even-keeled temperament. He and other Democrats formally adopted the report a party-line vote, leading up to today’s impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee.

Don’t be fooled: Schiff’s impeachment charade is exactly that, and it’s incompatible with the long and esteemed history of the United States Congress.

DEROY MURDOCK: IMPEACHING TRUMP WILL HURT DEMOCRATS MORE THAN HIM

Anti-Trump Democrats have essentially hijacked one of the three branches of the federal government by consuming Congress with a bogus impeachment process, which has only deepened our divisions while grinding government to a halt.

This is unprecedented. I have served four U.S. presidents, including two tours at the highest rank of White House staff as Assistant to the President.

I have also advised six different presidential campaigns, so I’ve lived and breathed politics for decades.

As chairman of Great America PAC, I worked hard to help elect President Trump, so I understand just how determined the Left is to not only undermine his agenda but ultimately remove him from office.

I have never seen such naked, self-serving partisanship. Since Inauguration Day, impeachment has been the left’s primary agenda.

Mere weeks after his election, Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., pressured President Trump to divest business assets that could pose a conflict of interest, supporting legislation would make violations of federal conflict-of-interest rules “a high crime or misdemeanor under the impeachment clause of the U.S. Constitution.”

Three years later, that same agenda has resulted in the impeachment “hearings” we see today. It’s a farce.

After the Mueller report predictably exonerated President Trump earlier this year, Schiff embraced a whistleblower whose claims would purportedly lay the foundation for impeachment. Within months, however, a supposed truth-teller was exposed as a registered Democrat-held over from the Obama White House. This was a Democrat who had previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden.

According to one National Security Council official, the whistleblower was “accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump.” That same whistleblower reportedly worked with a Democratic National Committee operative, Alexandra Chalupa, who conducted opposition research on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. He even invited her into the White House for meetings.

In the process, the whistleblower even sought out Schiff for “guidance.” That’s right: The whistleblower, a Democrat, worked with the ringleader of impeachment to remove a sitting president from office. And now we are to believe the impeachment process is “nonpartisan”?

CLICK HERE TO GET THE OPINION NEWSLETTER

Making matters worse, Schiff repeatedly lied about his contact with the whistleblower. In an MSNBC interview, Schiff infamously claimed, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.” It’s a claim so egregious that even The Washington Post and PolitiFact—which are anything but pro-Trump—accused Schiff of lying to the American people.

The charade goes on. Schiff recently scrambled to stop the whistleblower from being named, while finding time to accuse President Trump of acting “for his own personal, political gain”—again, because Schiff is a model of nonpartisanship. Even as Republicans attempt to speak with the whistleblower, Democrats put up roadblocks at every turn.

As Rep. Kevin McCarthy recently explained, “[Schiff’s] focus—in his own words—is to send the president ‘back to the golden throne he came from.’”

Such partisanship is not only antithetical to our democracy, but it also sets a dangerous precedent for future dealings between a sitting president and the opposition party. If the Democrats can pursue impeachment now—when there are virtually no grounds to so—are we to expect an impeachment inquiry every four years?

How can Republicans trust any Democrat, when the Democratic Party has been hell-bent on impeachment since 2016? Imagine if Republicans had launched a bogus impeachment inquiry against President Obama, solely on the grounds of him being a Democrat.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP

In lieu of trust, what Republicans can do is mobilize. Based on recent polling, Republicans (and other Americans) are determined to look past Schiff’s impeachment charade and join together in support of President Trump.

The Democrats may have “impeachment,” but President Trump has a booming economy and the safest, most secure America in recent memory. I’ll take the latter, and so should you.

The White House said Friday it will not participate in House Judiciary Committee impeachment proceedings, blasting the inquiry as “completely baseless” in a curt response to Democrats ahead of Monday’s scheduled hearing.

“House Democrats have wasted enough of America’s time with this charade,” White House counsel Pat Cipollone said in a scathing one-page letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., obtained by Fox News. “You should end this inquiry now and not waste even more time with additional hearings.”

PELOSI CALLS FOR ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT AGAINST TRUMP: ‘NO CHOICE BUT TO ACT’

Friday was the deadline for Trump to respond to Nadler’s request for participation in committee proceedings.

But instead of giving House Democrats a direct “no” answer, Cipollone penned a two-paragraph letter derailing the entire process.

“As you know, your impeachment inquiry is completely baseless and has violated basic principles of due process and fundamental fairness,” he wrote. “Nevertheless, the Speaker of the House yesterday ordered House Democrats to proceed with articles of impeachment before your Committee has heard a single shred of evidence.”

A senior administration official, though, made it clear they won’t be participating, telling Fox News: “We don’t see any reason to participate because the process is unfair. Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi has already announced the predetermined result. They will not give us the ability to call any witnesses.”

Nadler is set to continue hearings in the committee on Monday.

The decision by the administration likely accelerates the pace of impeachment.

In 1998, the Clinton Administration took 30 hours to present its side of things to the Judiciary Committee. That means there may not be another hearing after Monday’s session.

Trump telegraphed Thursday he wanted to sidestep the House impeachment process and move quickly to the Senate where he believes he’ll be acquitted by the GOP-led upper chamber.

“Therefore I say, if you are going to impeach me, do it now, fast, so we can have a fair trial in the Senate and so that our Country can get back to business,” Trump tweeted. “We will have Schiff, the Bidens, Pelosi and many more testify, and will reveal, for the first time, how corrupt our system really is.”

Cipollone repeated Trump’s comments in the letter and said the House Democrats would be making a historically unjust mistake by plowing forward.

“Adopting articles of impeachment would be a reckless abuse of power by House Democrats, and would constitute the most injust, highly partisan and unconstitutional attempt at impeachment in our Nation’s history,” he said.

Trump and his allies in Congress have dismissed the impeachment as a “sham” partisan exercise aimed at undoing the results of the 2016 presidential election. Trump says his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “perfect” when he asked the newly elected foreign leader to investigate the Bidens and the Democratic National Committee server.

Pelosi, however, said the facts of Trump’s wrongdoing involving Ukraine are “uncontested” and announced Thursday Democrats are plowing forward with drafting articles of impeachment against Trump.

“The president abused his power for his own personal political benefit at the expense of our national security,” Pelosi said.

WHITE HOUSE, IN FIERY LETTER, DECLARES TRUMP WON’T PARTICIPATE IN HOUSE JUDICIARY IMPEACHMENT HEARING

Trump declined to have his lawyers participate in the House Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing Wednesday when four legal scholars debated whether Trump’s conduct was impeachable.

Cipollone blasted the “baseless and highly partisan inquiry” in a letter Sunday declining to attend. The White House also accused the Judiciary Committee of “purposely” scheduling its first impeachment hearing when Trump would be meeting with NATO leaders in London and couldn’t attend.

At Wednesday’s hearing, the three lawyers the Democrats invited made the case that Trump’s efforts to pressure Ukraine for personal political purposes and his stonewalling of Congress are impeachable. The lone GOP witness, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley, said Trump’s call was “anything but perfect” but said Democrats haven’t made the case.

“One can oppose President Trump’s policies or actions but still conclude that the current legal case for impeachment is not just woefully inadequate, but in some respects, dangerous, as the basis for the impeachment of an American president,” Turley said.

Nadler, D-NY, had set a deadline of 5 p.m Friday in a letter he penned to the president a week ago.

“I am writing to determine if your counsel will seek to exercise the specific privileges set forth in the Judiciary Committee’s Impeachment Procedures … and participate in the upcoming impeachment proceedings,” Nadler wrote in the Nov. 29 letter.

Nadler scheduled the next impeachment hearing for 9 a.m. on Monday, where lawyers for Democrats and Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee will present their evidence.
