Greetings from Tyler,

This was a week of records, and news outlets are very impressed with them. Not high temperatures to bolster the climate crisis theology, but that’s coming. Not only does every report begin with important COVID claptrap, but all records for executive orders have been smashed by a factor of ten. You don’t want to know the details, and neither do I.

It wasn’t long ago that executive orders were relatively few. That is, until he enacted some of them in complete contradiction to his own earlier statements. First it was impossible, then it was urgent. You want logic? Sorry.

The new orders, designed to erase evidence of the last four years immediately if not sooner, have come in a flurry “we’ve never seen before from any president.” That’s a phrase the mainstream anchors used to express their abhorrence and outrage at the very existence of Donald Trump and his supporters. Guesswork would conclude the anchors are no longer miffed at “unprecedented” presidential actions, now that they’re aimed in the “right” direction.

Sometimes you’ve got to wonder whether the “mainstream,” to include most conservative outlets, has scanned the Bible to find out what really infuriates the Creator God, and then intentionally institutes policies designed to do just that. Conservatives have decided to go along with what they believe to be inconsequential issues, figuring there are bigger fish to fry and that it’s not worth getting bogged down in arguments over something the media has already determined to be virtuous.

Included in the blizzard of orders coming out of the American seat of power is the policy that people who have declared themselves (however temporarily) other than the gender they were born have complete access to the competitive sports of their choice. Nobody can say, “But you’re a male, and this is girls’ soccer or swimming or track.” Nope, that would be “unfair discrimination” against the pretender’s Constitutional protections of equal treatment.

They really need to produce a television show (it would have to be a sit-com) to play out how this military decision will work. We have no idea how many camera-ready trans-gender types there are to play in some new adaptation of Gomer Pyle, but it would be anything but funny. Maybe you’ve seen photographs of Dr. Rachel whoever it is. Not what you’d consider attractive, whether male or female. That’s a problem. None of these bent genders are the least bit attractive, by any standards anywhere. In fact, most are downright revolting. No disrespect intended.

But that won’t matter going forward. Women’s sports is about to become a freak show. There’s not too much to worry about on the men’s side of sports, whether it be High School, college or professional. Biological women, with few exceptions, cannot measure up to the male musculature. That may be unfortunate, but it is true. Nevertheless, women’s sporting competitions are about to be overrun by ugly dudes who identify as girls with big muscles. It’s just one more thing to lament in this new world of utter nonsense.

To the extent we look the other way, and sacrifice the futures of biological females, dare we say girls, who dedicated their young lives to being the best they could at some discipline or other, we all may be liable for the spectacle playing out. God’s Word says plainly, over and over, Old Testament and New, how He reacts to such folly. He’s not amused in the least. America, stand by. You’re being turned into Trannysilvania. Better not laugh when these beauties are trotted out to lecture you in kindergarten-speak. Your acceptance must be complete! There will be no snickering!

Mark

PS: We’ve gained nearly two hundred TCW subscribers, with about a week and a half to go for our advertisements on One America News. Those will receive four issues of the magazine, and not be placed on the monthly mailing list unless they request literature offered in the pages. Other opportunities are under consideration. It seems as though the iron is hot.

(ABC4) – It’s been more than a week since President Joe Biden took office following an unprecedented inauguration marked by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the deadly U.S. Capitol riot.

His inauguration and the condition under which he assumed office are not the only unique aspect of his young presidency – within his first two days in office, President Biden signed 17 executive orders, including 15 on his first day.

That is far more than any of his recent predecessors during their first week in office, including Donald Trump, who signed five; Barack Obama, who signed five; and George W. Bush, who did not sign any, according to The American President Project.

As of Jan. 29, his 15th day in offce, Biden has signed a total of 22 executive orders.

Here is a full list of executive orders signed by Pres. Biden so far:

The American President Project (APP), run by UC Santa Barbara, shows no recent president – dating back to Dwight D. Eisenhower, has issued more than 500 executive orders during their entire time in office.

RELATED: Biden transition team ‘encouraged by progress’

Below is a list of how many executive orders each of the five previous presidents have signed:

Donald Trump: 220

Barack Obama: 276

George W. Bush: 291

Bill Clinton: 364

George Bush: 166

According to the APP, Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a record number of executive orders – 3,721 – during his more than 12 years in office, or an average of 307 each year.

While Pres. Biden has undoubtedly signed more executive orders during his first few days in office than Trump, Obama, and Bush, it is unclear if it is a record. According to PolitiFact, run by The Poynter Institute, the available record before FDR is not complete enough to say Biden has broken any records.

10 talked about bills in the 2021 Utah legislative session

Seth Masket, a professor of political science at Duke University tells Newsweek that it is not uncommon for a president to sign several executive orders after inauguration.

It is too early to tell just how many more executive orders Pres. Biden will sign during his first 100 days in office, or his entire term.

President Joe Biden has signed a series of executive orders on a wide range of issues almost every day he’s been in office — from climate change to racial equality to curtailing the spread of Covid-19.

But for all the fanfare, it’s unclear how many are just symbolic gestures that will need legislative action in years to come. Congress, not the president, is tasked with making laws — a fact that Biden, who spent 36 years as a senator from Delaware, is surely aware.

“Big change, long-term change, less fragile change require legislation,” said Andrew Rudalevige, a government and legal studies professor at Bowdoin College who has studied presidential executive orders. Many orders also end up in lengthy court challenges, he said.

On the campaign trail, Biden frequently pushed back at demands from the liberal wing of his party for sweeping change by saying that he would need Congress to sign off on the largest changes.

The orders represent a White House effort both to reverse Trump Administration policies and to send an early signal to supporters that Biden intends to make good on his campaign promises.

Some of Biden’s executive orders have more of an impact than others. He has recommitted the U.S. to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change after Trump withdrew from it in 2017, for example, and reversed a Trump-era ban on transgender people serving in the military.

On Thursday, he signed an executive order to restore parts of the Affordable Care Act that Trump — through executive order — had dismantled.

But others Biden has signed appear more diffuse and aspirational.

One executive order directed governmental agencies to identify unspecified “actions” to address the current economic crisis resulting from the pandemic. It did not prescribe any specific actions.

Another order denounced anti-Asian discrimination and xenophobia. But it didn’t say how exactly that would be achieved.

Yet another calls on the Office of Management and Budget to “modernize and improve” the regulatory review process — but overhauling the regulatory review process was a top priority of the Trump administration, which worked for four years to change the system.

Experts point to the fact that executive orders are both simple to sign and simple to undo, creating confusion both domestically and internationally as one president is able to simply reverse policies enacted by another.

“The lack of continuity is an issue, and it does lead to a lack of stability for everyone from automakers to homeowners,” Rudalevige said.

White House advisers have been quick to defend Biden’s use of executive orders, particularly after The New York Times published an editorial Thursday urging him to “ease up” on the practice.

“We are not taking executive action in lieu of legislation: we are taking executive action to fix what Trump broke in the executive branch,” White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain wrote on Twitter.

“Of course we are pursuing our agenda through legislation,” White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield noted, pointing to the $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief plan the administration is negotiating in Congress.

Presidents since George Washington have used executive orders to advance their priorities, according to the American Presidency Project at the University of California, Santa Barbara. But the practice has become a flashpoint for controversy in recent years as Congress and the public have become more politically polarized.

Barack Obama sidestepped Congress to sign several high profile executive orders.

“I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” he announced in 2014, signaling that he would not wait for lawmakers to enact his agenda.

Obama’s most contested executive order, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA, was an immigration measure he signed in 2012 aimed at offering limited legal status to some 700,000 immigrants brought illegally to the U.S. as children. The measure faced numerous court challenges and was effectively overturned by the Trump administration until the U.S. Supreme Court blocked Trump’s effort.

Trump took the use of executive orders even further, issuing almost as many in four years as Obama did in eight. Many of Trump’s orders, such as advancing the Keystone Pipeline and promoting a travel ban from several majority-Muslim countries, have been among the first Biden has sought to reverse.
