Fox News host Sean Hannity demanded President Biden resign Monday for “lying” to the American people about his pledge to stay in Afghanistan until every citizen is evacuated.

“Apparently Joe Biden was telling all of us an outright lie,” Hannity told viewers after the last U.S. plane departed Kabul. “This transcends politics, this is [for] a Democrat, Republican, conservative, or liberal. Everybody should see it right here.”

BIDEN BREAKS PROMISE TO STAY IN AFGHANISTAN

The host referenced Biden’s earlier interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, where he pledged on Aug. 18 that the U.S. military objective in Afghanistan was to get “everyone” out, including Americans and Afghan allies and their families.

Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. on Monday however announced Monday evening that the last of the U.S. troops stationed at the Kabul airport had left, even though hundreds of Americans likely remain.

Hannity called the debacle “the worst self-inflicted foreign policy in American history,” and demanded that “everyone involved” be fired.

“The secretary of state, Blinken, fired,” Hannity said. “Jake Sullivan, fired. They all need to be held responsible for this unmitigated disaster. Yes, Joe Biden too, fired,” he said.

“Under Joe Biden, the terrorist called all the shots,” the host continued. “Let’s stop lying to ourselves right here. The Taliban is a terrorist group. He [Biden] said the Taliban has made commitments on safe passage…. Joe, you’ve got to be kidding.”

Hannity said the withdrawal has only appeared to emphasize President Biden’s declining cognitive state.

“We know he is declining quickly, cognitively,” the host said. “I know he has soup for brains, but surely someone in the administration remembers 9/11 of 2001.”

More than 120 retired US military leaders have signed an open letter appearing to advance a false conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was rigged and questioning President Joe Biden’s mental capacity to serve.

“Without fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the ‘will of the people’ our Constitutional Republic is lost,” said the letter released Tuesday by “Flag Officers 4 America,” and signed by 124 former admirals and generals.

“The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020.”

On its website, Flag Officers 4 America says it is a collection of “retired military leaders who pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the US against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

In the letter, the signatories, many of whom have been out of active service for decades, also addressed concerns over Biden’s health.

“The mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored. He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night,” the letter said.

The Defense Department declined to comment.

Throughout the 2020 election campaign former President Donald Trump regularly cast doubts on Biden’s health and suitability to rule, calling him “Sleepy Joe” and saying in March 2020 that there was “something going on” with Biden’s mental abilities.

Earlier this month Biden’s personal doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, released a report on the president’s health, in which he called him a “healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

Biden is the oldest serving US president in history, and the White House said this week that the president will undergo a full checkup this year.

In the Tuesday letter, the Flag Officers 4 America signatories also laid out what they deem to be the major threats facing the US, namely the rise of China, the rejoining of the Iran nuclear deal, immigration, and the ending of the Keystone Pipeline project.

The signatories also called for the removal of Section 230, a part of US law that shields tech companies from legal liability. Trump called for the section to be removed last year after Twitter flagged two of his tweets about mail-in voting.

“Our Nation is in deep peril,” the signatories wrote in the introduction to the letter.

“We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty.”

‘Gross and blatant partisan attack’

Several military experts told Politico the letter was an outright partisan attack and dangerous.

One serving Navy officer told Politico the letter was “disturbing and reckless” while Jim Golby, an expert in civil-military relations, told the outlet it was a “shameful effort to use their rank and the military’s reputation for such a gross and blatant partisan attack.”

The letter’s organizer, Maj. Gen. Joe Arbuckle, told Politico: “Retired generals and admirals normally do not engage in political actions, but the situation facing our nation today is dire. … We are facing threats greater than at any other time since our country was founded. To remain silent would be a dereliction of duty.”

Nearly seven weeks and counting and President Biden has yet to stand before America and take repeated questions from the media.

It’s bad enough that the president and his staff don’t have faith in him and his sometimes wandering mind to make it through an hour-long press conference. But it’s also appalling that the media lets him get away with it — instead suffering through endless inane briefings by press secretary Jennifer Psaki.

“I think his staff does not have faith that he can stand at the podium and have a press conference the way President Trump did many times,” former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Fox News. “I don’t think this is President Biden saying, ‘I don’t want to do this.’ ”

You won’t get much information from those press briefings, that’s for sure.

Psaki’s favorite blow-off response to a question is “I’ll circle back” on that one. It was trending on Twitter.

She has an edgy smile like she wants to tell reporters to stuff it. But I can’t imagine her getting an invite to Dancing with the Stars, or getting mocked at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

And you won’t see Saturday Night Live imitating Psaki like they did McEnany and Sarah Huckabee and Sean Spicer. They were under attack from Day One by Democrats and the Trump-hating media.

Will Biden get his own Jim Acosta someday? Someone to hound him, maybe? Doubtful.

Say what you will about President Trump, he managed his own press operation.

By this time in his early presidency, Trump had five press conferences where he faced hostile questions. But he stood there and took it. He was never in the bunker.

Trump’s press conferences usually led to blaring headlines and yes, sometimes he acted like a jerk. But at least he was accessible and open to the American people.

Biden has shown no such willingness to be accessible, preferring to take one or maybe two shouted questions at his public events.

He’s giving a speech to the nation later this week but that will be completely scripted on a teleprompter — no chance that he’ll face any questions.

Psaki is promising a traditional press conference before the end of the month. We’ll see. If he does it, he’ll likely call on only his favored reporters and keep it short.

The reality is that the 78-year-old Biden won’t be able to stay on script through an entire traditional press conference, and is bound to trip on his words or make a gaffe. But don’t worry — the media will cover it up like they usually do.
