It’s happening too fast. You couldn’t keep up if you were trying. The orders coming out of the new Administration are in line with the promises made on the campaign trail. President Trump has been saying what he will do in his speeches. I don’t know if you watched the appearance in Davos on the big screen but it was priceless. He wrecked them. All the dignitaries are wondering why they came, and what’s next. How good is it to have a guy that doesn’t need a teleprompter?

There’s a pervading sense that the U. S. is back, directing things, not just waiting to see what happens. There has been a blizzard of executive orders. It’s a full-time job just to keep up. Fauci has been denied secret service protection, but he’ll still need protection, so he’s reportedly hired his own.

So many documents are due to be released. Several that are no doubt already the theme for books. How many books have been written about the very things that are released, and how many theories will be tested? We may find out things we don’t want to know.

America is back with a vengeance, so to speak. We don’t know how many reports will be written in the coming days and weeks. I don’t know if we could stand everything at once. Maybe there will be a schedule. The experts will pour over everything released and let us know. They’ll probably prove their theories with the real thing, which nobody can deny.

There are all kinds of reports about AI, and what it will bring in the future. It seems things are speeding up and changing. AI better not do all the things they’re worried about. There is dangerous territory here. Some may regard it as the answer to everything. We’ll have to be on our guard, lest it lead us off into the wrong direction.

You can listen to Trump’s speeches, they’re coming fast and furious. You think the world is not taking notice? They better get with the program or risk being left behind. Maybe you’ve noticed, everybody wants to be on the Trump train.

Big name business people didn’t miss the inauguration. They were all there, wanting to be greeted by the President. They better be part of the solution, and they know it. Those trying to stand in the way are going to get run over. Think of it, we don’t have to pretend we understand all the cockamamie nonsense they’ve thrown our way.

I’m sure they’d like to respond, but Trump isn’t giving them time. Executive orders are coming so fast it’ll make your head spin.

Fires are still burning in California, but the good news is the minnows have been saved. What? They haven’t been saved? Nobody has seen one in ten years? This idea that people have to get burned out to save some little fish is wearing thin. Apparently they got so carried away, with “change” and all that, they forgot to make sure the fire hydrants had water. They apparently didn’t think dry reservoirs during the Santa Ana winds would be a problem.

I lived in California for many years. The Santa Ana winds are an annual occurrence, but the city has never burned before! You don’t suppose these “officials” were worrying about other things?

While they were worrying about whether they had enough weirdos on the force…

From here it looks like things are going in the right direction. We don’t have to worry about offending anybody anymore. They don’t get to insist we believe things that aren’t true.

I know the church has always preached the end of the world, and I guess something still could happen to derail this realignment. But my sense is that God looked down in His mercy and decided the time is not yet. Let’s see where this American revival goes.

Historians and conspiracy theorists have been given an early Christmas present: the release from US National Archives of 13,173 documents relating to the official investigation into the 1963 assassination of President John F Kennedy.

From barely legible memos filled with the crabby handwriting of CIA agents, through reports on secret meetings with Russian diplomats, to painstaking detective work on the movements of Lee Harvey Oswald, the trove of documents will keep JFK assassination obsessives busy for months. Few expect bombshells among the pile, however.

The newly declassified materials are unlikely to disturb the conclusion of the 1964 Warren commission charged with getting to the bottom of the outrage. It found that Oswald, a former Marine and communist who defected to the Soviet Union, had killed Kennedy, acting alone, by firing three shots as the 46-year-old Democratic US president rode in an open-top limousine through Dealey Plaza in Dallas on 22 November 1963.

On Thursday, the government is due release its final batch of secret files relating to the assassination, the majority of which will come from the FBI and CIA. The files are being released in keeping with a 1992 law that was passed in part due to Oliver Stone’s “JFK,” which explored the efforts of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison to investigate Kennedy’s death.

Stone’s film was popular but widely criticized by experts who saw the film as a disservice to history. Scholars of the assassination are nearly unanimous in their belief that Kennedy was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, while Garrison argued that elements of the U.S. government were actually responsible. Other conspiracy theorists point to the Mafia or foreign governments, such as Fidel Castro’s Cuba or the Soviet Union, as the hidden actors behind the assassination. Meanwhile, former Trump adviser Roger Stone, who says he had been pushing the president to release the files in full, has written a book claiming President Johnson was the real culprit.

President Trump is the only person allowed by law to halt the release of the files, although he’s said that he will release all of them “subject to the receipt of further information.”

There are numerous questions surrounding the assassination, which shocked the nation on November 22, 1963. For example, it is difficult to discern a clear motive for why Oswald, a 24-year-old former Marine who had briefly defected to the Soviet Union, would shoot Kennedy. Oswald also denied shooting Kennedy and famously claimed to be a “patsy” moments before nightclub owner Jack Ruby shot and killed him on November 24.

The Warren Commission, which was put appointed by Johnson to investigate the assassination and lead by Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren, determined in 1964 that Oswald had acted alone. Still, a CBS News poll from 2013 found that 61 percent of Americans believed that more than one man was responsible for the assassination. Other polls have routinely found that majorities of Americans likewise believe in some sort of conspiracy surrounding Kennedy’s death. The same CBS poll found that 56 percent believed there was a cover-up.

It’s unclear whether Thursday’s big reveal will change anyone’s mind. But here’s what we do know: the new collection includes over 3,100 documents, and some of them are related to Oswald’s trip to Mexico City right before the assassination. But most experts are of the opinion that the new documents are unlikely to reveal all that much about what happened that day in Dallas, because the government was legally required to release anything particularly relevant to the case years ago.

On the other hand, it’s impossible to know if there’s a bombshell hidden in this new tranche of documents.

“It’s always possible that a really good researcher will find new information that they think is significant and will add to their version of the story, or perhaps even lead them in other directions,” Judge John Tunheim, who chaired the Assassination Records Review Board, told Time Magazine earlier this week.

“There’s a lot of still unanswered questions about the assassination. For example, did Oswald, when he lived in Minsk, have any connection with Cuban intelligence agents who were being trained in Minsk by the Soviets? There are issues like that that aren’t fully resolved anywhere, and going through these documents might give good researchers an opportunity to come up with more than what we know today in the official story.”
