Both administrations confirmed Kim and Putin, longtime allies, would meet in eastern Russia in the near future. Neither has offered any details regarding the planned conversation, but multiple international media outlets – and the U.S. State Department –have suggested that Putin is considering buying North Korean weapons to be used in the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Given the deficient speed of Kim’s bulletproof train and the lack of information regarding a destination for it, when exactly Kim would arrive and when he would meet with Putin remain unknown. The Korea JoongAng Daily suggested Kim could be traveling upwards of 20 hours before reaching his last stop.

“We are not telling yet [where talks will take place]. In the Far East,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday. He added that the two leaders expected to hold a “one-on-one” exchange but did not intend to hold a press conference to discuss their meeting.

Sources told The New York Times on Monday that Kim plans to travel to Russia, where both leaders are scheduled to attend the Eastern Economic Forum at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The forum is scheduled to run Sept. 10-13.

Putin hopes the North Korea strongman can agree to send artillery shells and antitank missiles to Russia. In contrast, Kim wants Russia to provide his country with advanced technology for satellites and nuclear-powered submarines, as well as food aid.

Kim also has plans to visit Pier 33, where naval ships from Russia’s Pacific fleet dock, according to The Times.

Kim fired Gen. Pak Su Il, chief of the General Staff, during a meeting of the ruling Workers’ Party central military commission held Wednesday, Korean Central News Agency reported.

He replaced Pak with Vice Marshal Ri Yong Gil, who currently serves as the North’s defense minister.

The meeting also dealt with “dismissing, transferring to other posts or newly appointing some leading commanding officers,” KCNA said. No reasons were given for the military reshuffle.

Kim analyzed the “hostile” situation on the Korean Peninsula and called for “further stepping up the war preparations of the [Korean People’s Army] in an offensive way,” the report said.

This week will go down in history, for more than one reason.  Well-known and respected commentators are saying that there’s no going back.  If the ruling party decides to use the levers of state power to bring down an opponent, then the primary difference between America and the third world no longer exists.  It will never end.  The institutions we once believed and respected are corrupt.  No one hasn’t heard of the indictment of Donald Trump, thirty four counts the headlines say.  There’s no need to weigh in, everybody’s doing it.  

It’s full employment for the talking heads, a ratings bonanza!  This is what the enemies of our rule of law have been wanting all along.  I hope they’re enjoying themselves.  How many investigations, impeachments and deadly scandals have there been so far?  Maybe five or six, any one of which could have been his final demise.  But he’s still standing, saying he’s going to dismantle the deep state and fire everybody who’s shilling for the madness that’s over-taken the media and academia.  None of the other principals in the endless pursuit have come out looking too good.  Nadler?  Schiff?  Mueller?  Clapper?  Brennan?  The list is incomplete, but you get the picture.  Trump’s tormentors have suffered humiliation that you just can’t quantify.  But what about this time?

America is getting drug through the trough of slop, again.  Nobody’s ever got ratings like they get when they’re breaking scandal news.  This time it’s Donald Trump.  Several respected names are saying that the prosecutor is funded by George Soros.  I don’t have the proof, but I believe them.  We’re seeing how far we’ve fallen.  

Gay nonsense is being shoved down America’s throat by the media.  The usual suspects are airing commercials about how “equitable” and “inclusive” they are.  Meanwhile a tranny just shot up a school killing three little kids and three adults.  You might have seen the law official having the details dragged out of him.  The illogical pronouns had to postpone their “day of rage,” for crying out loud.  Whenever they do have their day of rage, all the photos will probably be long shots.  No doubt they’ll be heavily disguised, but you can’t hide that much ugly.  

We don’t know if WWIII has already been touched off or what.  China apparently has Putin’s back in the Ukraine war, so it will go on and on.  It’s not a very good feeling when you’ve got idiots, the likes of which we see trotted out to explain the border.  They look dumbstruck when confronted by the reality we see every day.  They haven’t heard about things with which we’re well aware.  It’s enough to make you break your TV.  But try to just change the channel or leave the room.

I don’t know how current “leadership” could do any better at destroying everything we hold dear.  Of course they’re doing it with the utmost compassion, inclusivity, whatever.  Those out to eradicate America are on top right now.  We hate that we’re going to have to live through it.  Just call us when it’s over, because this is going to hurt.  

Everything that could go wrong, did.  In short order.  We knew that this was going to be a wrecking crew, but we had no idea it would be this fast.  The banks are in trouble, the dollar is in trouble.  Every bad dictator on earth has the green light on their darkest dreams.  Suddenly we’re in a proxy war with Russia (and maybe China) over Ukraine.  Little rocket man is acting up again.  We’re fighting Iranians in Syria.  Saudi Arabia and Iran are making overtures.  If you want to know what’s going on in Israel, just substitute Netanyahu’s name for Trump.  They’re coming at him from all directions.

There are dire warnings about the strength of the dollar, as China and Brazil make an agreement to trade in other currencies.  America is in a dangerous spot, and the ruling party is trying to make sure there’s no going back.  It’s like scrapping working power plants.  They’re making sure there’s no going back.  

We just want a peaceful life, with law and order under the Constitution.  Is that too much to ask?  Apparently so.  We need to pray for the wisdom to navigate whatever the future holds, because we are living in a time like no other.

U.S. Special Representative Sung Kim met his South Korean and Japanese counterparts, Kim Gunn and Funakoshi Takehiro, after a U.S. assessment that the North was preparing its Punggye-ri test site for what would be its seventh nuclear test.

“We are preparing for all contingencies in close coordination with our Japanese and ROK allies,” Kim said at the beginning of the meeting, referring to South Korea by the initials of its official name, the Republic of Korea.

This year, North Korea has tested several ballistic missiles, including one thought to be its largest intercontinental ballistic missile, in violation of U.N. resolutions.

“We want to make clear to the DPRK that its unlawful and destabilising activities have consequences and that the international community will not accept these actions as normal,” the U.S. envoy said, referring to North Korea.

South Korea’s newly appointed nuclear envoy, Kim Gunn, said North Korea’s “relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons will only end up strengthening our deterrence”.

“The course that Pyongyang is currently embarking on has only one inevitable destination: reduce security for North Korea itself,” the South Korean diplomat said.

Last week, the United States called for more U.N. sanctions on North Korea over its ballistic missile launches, but China and Russia vetoed the suggestion, publicly splitting the U.N. Security Council on North Korea for the first time since it started punishing it in 2006, when it conducted its first nuclear test.

Japan’s Funakoshi stressed the need for coordination, vowing to “enhance regional deterrence, including trilateral security cooperation”.

The officials said the door for dialogue was open and expressed concern over the COVID-19 situation in North Korea.

“We have made very clear directly to Pyongyang that we are open to diplomacy,” Sung Kim said later at a separate conference in Seoul, noting that Washington was willing to discuss items of interest to Pyongyang, such as sanctions relief.

“So far they have shown no interest.”

The most important thing was for the three countries to present a united front to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the U.S. envoy said.

“When he sees that we are coordinating very closely with partners and allies I hope this persuades him that the only viable path is diplomacy with us,” he said.

China and Russia were clearly not interested in working with the United States to manage North Korea’s nuclear and missile arsenal, Kim said, when asked about their veto of new sanctions.

“We’re not asking them for a favour, it’s in their interest,” he said.

The United States would not link humanitarian aid for North Korea as it battles COVID to denuclearization, U.S. officials said.

“We passed the message through our regular channel, that we were willing to provide humanitarian cooperation focused on COVID relief including vaccines,” Kim said. “But we haven’t heard back.”

It was time to look for new approaches to North Korea because Kim Jong Un would never willingly give up nuclear weapons, said Tae Yong-ho, a former North Korean diplomat who now serves as a member of parliament in the South.

“Nuclear weapons are the core to unite the whole North Korean people and ensure continuation of Kim family rule,” he told the conference.

North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan Wednesday, according to reports.

Japan’s Defense Ministry and South Korea’s military confirmed the launches, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency and the Japan Times reported Wednesday afternoon local time.

“Our military is tracking and monitoring related movements and maintaining a readiness posture,” South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff told reporters, according to Yonhap. The launch reportedly came from the Pyongyang area minutes after 12 noon.

The launch is just the latest in a series of weapons tests from the nuclear-armed country, which likes to flex its strength, and days after leader Kim Jong Un warned that North Korea could preemptively use its nuclear arsenal if threatened.
The Japanese Coast Guard urged vessels traveling off Japanese coasts to stay away from any possible fragments.

The launch also comes days before newly-elected President-elect Yoon Suk Yeol takes office in South Korea.
