No one dares talk back, let alone do anything to stop the communist takeover underway.  If Trump does anything they’ll call him a dictator, which of course, they do anyway.  The mayors and police authorities in the smoldering cities won’t do much.  They’re taking a knee, in some cases literally bowing down before crowds capable of destroying everything in sight if provoked.

Every big-name company and corporation is bowing down, or in many cases actually giving large sums of money, or should we say buying protection—mafia style—to the organizations that are funding the mob.  And it’s not just Black Lives Matter, although the admittedly Marxist outfit obviously welcomes the muscle of the anarchists, the rainbow crowd and every other dispossessed misfit. They’ve joined together to insist that all law enforcement is intrinsically racist, and so are you!  Any denial will get you beat to a pulp.  If you get in the way of the mob, you won’t even have a chance to make such a denial, which anyway would be proof of guilt to the goons.  Assuming these people wreaking havoc know something about anything, which is highly doubtful.

Watching everybody take a knee in fear, meet the mob half way, accept the destruction of our history, and “take responsibility” for things that happened in another era is the most pitiful display ever witnessed.  The media has determined that they will make us kneel!  Make us wear a mask, regardless!  Force an admission of racism or else.

Now there’s another preposterous accusation, and we’re supposed to believe it this time.  With somber tones and straight faces, the “news” people told us that Trump was “colluding with Russia.”  They told us that he was Putin’s puppet, doing Russia’s bidding from the Oval Office.  And Mike Flynn was betraying the United States, and conniving with the Kremlin in secret phone calls.  For three years the “news” media maintained it’s somber demeanor while they accused the most patriotic of Americans of sedition, perhaps treason.  They ridiculed everyone who didn’t buy their idiotic claims, calling us stupid and unwilling to accept reality.

When it blew up in their faces after three years of pumping out the story day and night, they hardly noticed that their big investigation yielded nothing beyond the deep-state coup that they insisted was a conspiracy theory.  Maybe that’s because the “news” media was up to its eyeballs in the farce, complicit in reporting every false story from their “insiders” and “whistle-blowers.”  The whole thing blew up in their gay faces.  The Mueller investigation they’d hyped for nearly Trump’s whole first term was a complete and utter embarrassment.  Mueller fell completely apart in public testimony, revealing that he didn’t even know, in some cases had never heard of,  things that appeared in the report he’d supposedly written.

But that didn’t slow them down one bit.  The corrupt media moved seamlessly toward impeachment with the ungainly Schiff and Nadler leading the charge.  The media, once again, was all in on President Trump’s guilt.  It was all in the Ukrainian phone call!  But, once again Schiff, Nadler and their minions lied every day and night to the media, and the media lied to all of us, insisting that high crimes and misdemeanors had been committed by the President, and the only remedy was removal from office.  But that left them with soot all over their faces like cartoon characters that accidentally blew themselves up.  Still, they never noticed, never apologized, never admitted what fools they’d made of themselves for all to see.  Instead, they purported to still believe their own fake news and figured they were probably right all along, despite their inability to prove any claims they’d been making for years.

The mainstream media has yet to own up to its role in trying to bring down a presidential administration on the basis of, shall we say, nonsense.  Now, they’ve got a brand new toy.  This time they’re claiming that Trump was briefed on a report that Russia was paying Taliban terrorists a bounty for every American soldier they could kill, and the President hid that fact, knowing full well that American soldiers were being killed for money.

It’s just as far-fetched, and divorced from reality as the previous “news” reports. It’s a quandary as to how President Trump has even survived.  He’s had corrupt federal agencies, together with the corrupt media working day and night to accuse him of the most outlandish, nonsensical intentions all the while scolding the population about how racist we all are.  Racism, they say, is a fact of America’s founding.  They’re trying to say the very existence of our flag, our national anthem, our founders, our history and our whole culture is irredeemably racist.

They’ve thrown red paint all over memorials of George Washington.  They’ve toppled statues of every respected or reviled figure in American history.  They’ve burned some of the most expensive retail locations, rampaging like the criminal idiots they are, fists in the air as they cavort in silhouette.

Can you point to ANYONE (save DJT) who dares stand up and defend America?  The so-called conservatives in government have fallen over like bowling pins.  They’re prepared to give in to all manner of demands.  The so-called conservatives are quietly working to root out Columbus Day and replace it with Juneteenth.  The important thing, and parties on all sides of every debate are absolutely sure of one thing:  We must wear masks!

Even one of the most popular “conservative” voices is on every day and night saying, “If we can go back to ball games, we’ll wear them.”  Maybe he will.  Some of us might just as soon not go anywhere the mask police will harass us.  The idea that some believe that we have the constitutionally guaranteed freedom not to make any of several public statements that masks represent just drives the media personalities to distraction.  They claim that their insistence is not even politically motivated.  But you’re just “so wrong” if you think you have the freedom NOT to make all the statements the mask represents.

Wearing the mask says you believe in the sham-demic, and one or two of us don’t.  It says that you want to patronize some business or another so badly that you’ll capitulate to the pressure.  You have to fly after all, don’t you?  You will wear the mask or be removed from the flight, as has happened already.  Wearing the mask also is a sign (to some of us) that you’ve taken a knee.  That you believe in all their nonsense and submit.  We’re being softened up to submit to things we don’t respect or believe in.  How about #TogetherAlone?  That makes no sense, but you’re expected to feel a rush of warmth at the idea of people watching each other eat on computer screens, and pretend like they’ve been to dinner.  If you think pressure to wear a mask is intense, wait till they decide everybody must shave their heads for the public health, or take a Mark in order to participate in economic activity.  That’ll fix us.

What won’t we accept?  Especially when they accuse us of “endangering the public.”  You must SUBMIT to society’s demands.  Even the mob wears masks, but it has nothing to do with the virus.  When we all wear masks, we signal agreement with the mob.  The fact that governors and mayors are doing the bidding of the goon-squad is no sign that the rest of us are ready to relinquish our Constitution, the Bill or Rights, the Declaration of Independence, or history or culture.  You obviously are FREE to make your own decisions, without speaking for anyone else.  Aren’t we all?  Some, apparently few, of us believe that appeasement is not the answer.  Thanks anyway, Governor Abbot.   But the Governor has bought in to the phony “spike” stories that the “news” media tells us are true, and set Texas back even further as to any hope of a swift recovery.  It looks like the media, or the mob has gotten to him.

On the first or second of July, CNN’s Erin Burnett shook her head in exasperation explaining that some people consider the maze of mandates an infringement of personal freedoms and liberties guaranteed in all our founding documents.  “That’s so WRONG!” she explained, out of breath, shaking her head in disbelief, amazed that anyone would dare even make such a claim.  Across the board, including many of the “contributors” on Fox News, they are incredulous that President Trump has not issued a national mask mandate, and spend countless hours expressing disbelief.  Never mind the details.  Never mind Dr. Fauci’s earlier statements about the ineffectiveness of masks and the statement, “There’s no need for Americans to go around wearing masks…”  No, the good doctor has changed his mind, and as you all know, we need to make a U-turn every time the self-impressed little leprechaun thinks he’s cuter than before.

Crime has gone exponential in every big city.  Even the fake news admits it obliquely while insisting that the protesters are peaceful, and we need to take note.  The police now know that any time they’re summoned, thinking someone’s been shot or killed, it could well be an ambush.  It’s happened repeatedly.  Murders, robberies and assaults are occurring at vastly increased rates in most cities.  Meanwhile mayors and city officials are rushing to pass rules and laws that might appease the mob.  The “de-fund the police” movement has gained traction.  New York’s de Blasio and kindred spirits across the United States are falling all over themselves to grant mob wishes by slashing police budgets.  De Blasio’s slash is reportedly one billion dollars.  The Minneapolis City Council has resolved to abolish the police and “RE-IMAGINE” law enforcement.  Everybody’s repeating the magic re-imagine phrase.  But the insurrectionists have a never-ending wish list that includes the redistribution of all private property.  In fact they hate, viscerally, the very concept of private property.

They are felling statues and memorials at a blinding pace.  Now they are after the founders and framers, without whom none of these cities would have existed in the first place.  Without the idea of America, governed by “We, the People” we probably wouldn’t even be here, and might never have been born.  There certainly wouldn’t be the kind of wealth they love to plunder, or cities to loot and burn.  But they’re on a roll, and can’t be bothered with logic just now.  They’re happy to let the homosexuals that dominate prime time do their explaining.  Have you seen these idiots cavorting in the faces of policemen?  Have you looked at those desecrating memorials and pulling down statues?  Are they being paid?  Because from the looks of them, they likely don’t know anything about anything.

There are some voices, even in the medical community who say the “spike” in virus cases is a farce.  Sick people are going to hospitals all right.  For two months they were afraid to go, and now they’re flooding in.  Hospitals are testing everyone, and claiming COVID cases exist in patients who’ve come in for other reasons.  Reporters are giddy, breathless, as the inevitable spike leads every news report.   To supporters of the riots; to the officials who’ve waited a lifetime for the opportunity to clamp down on the general population; to the flabbergasted mainstream reporters who just can’t believe that no national mask mandate has been declared; it’s the best news they could have hoped for.

Time is short.  The mob, backed by the media and business entities paying protection in a myriad of ways, needs to bring down Trump, Attorney General Barr or if necessary the whole system of governance in the United States before the lead players in the failed coup are indicted.  It was announced just last night that a whole bunch in the House of Representatives have signed a petition calling for the impeachment of Barr.  To justify it, they trotted out one of those who claimed to have “proof” of Russian collusion for the past three years.  He’s concerned about damage to the rule of law if Barr should continue in office.  In fact, it’s Obama’s inner circle and his agency brass that are implicated in the earlier attempt at insurrection.  Supposedly the cases are nearing completion, but we’ve heard that before.  Nonetheless, all the big name Deep State players have reportedly lawyered up just in case.  Meanwhile, many federal employees and heads of agencies support the ongoing insurrection against the United States in general, and against the current President in particular.  It’s a battle for the soul of the United States, and everybody seems willing to appease the mob.  They’ll never be appeased, and they’ll never stop making demands, no matter what we do.

Unlike now, the highly partisan members of the Watergate Special Prosecution Force (WSPF) were heavily involved in staffing the House Judiciary Committee (HJC) during its deliberations. Special Prosecutor Leon Jaworski even bragged to the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward in a December 5, 1974 interview that:

“Most important ‘focus’ in his [Jaworski’s] view was working out arrangement to get the material to House Judiciary…HJC was ‘very slow’ getting started, he sez, and would never have gotten off the ground without the info provided by the SPO [Special Prosecutor’s Office]. It was a ‘road map’ he stressed more than a few times. Sez HJC ‘had a very difficult time getting underway,’ that Doar admitted to him. Doar ‘an excellent man there. Still, he had nothing to catch hold of; he was engulfed by the Watergate Committee material’ but it was badly organized and not nearly definitive enough. ‘What we did — the first real step — was to cast the die.'”

TRUMP IMPEACHMENT TRIAL BEGINS WITH BITTER DISPUTE OVER RULES

Regardless of whether it was lawful and appropriate for technical members of the executive branch to staff an impeachment effort by the legislative branch, WSPF prosecutors supplied the precise and detailed testimony and other evidence from grand jury deliberations that enabled the HJC to properly frame its charges.

If Pelosi’s legal strategy seems to be out of a sitcom that’s because it is being guided by politicians who are eager to play the role of prosecutor during a TV trial.

In contrast, when the Mueller investigation came up empty, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her crew rushed to find an alternative – anything to get rid of Trump.

Racing against a self-imposed political clock, they skipped the idea of a criminal investigation into Trump’s Ukraine call because legitimate inquiries take time. Instead, they opted for what seemed like an attractive shortcut: impeachment.

That choice resulted in a politician-led kangaroo court during the House hearings. The American public was treated to brief and inconsistent questioning by alternating committee members – switching back and forth at five-minute intervals like a slow-motion Wimbledon tennis match – with each member grandstanding for their moment in the spotlight. This sloppy process resulted in a predetermined partisan success but now Democrats find themselves in a Senate trial without persuasive evidence whatsoever.

In Watergate, the Ervin Committee let counsel first question the witnesses, with members able to chime in afterward. The result was a far more cogent picture. Of course, chief counsel Samuel Dash later admitted that he had prepared and distributed suggested questions to committee members to avoid duplication or lapses in the preferred storyline.

President Trump, now sounding a cautionary note about “civil war,” is obviously at the white-hot center of the impeachment drama, just as he’s been at the center of American political and cultural warfare for four years.

But others in his inner circle are now being pulled, almost by magnetic force, onto the battlefield.

Mike Pompeo is the latest the find himself in the line of fire, in the wake of a Wall Street Journal story and other revelations.

The secretary of state hit back hard yesterday, tweeting that House Democrats are trying to “bully” and “intimidate” the State Department with deposition demands and he “will not tolerate such tactics.”

The Journal’s lead story said Pompeo was among the officials who listened in on Trump’s now-famous July 25 call with Ukraine’s leader, in which the president asked for help in investigating Joe Biden and his son.

Television has had a field day replaying a Pompeo interview with ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who asked him point-blank, “What do you know about these conversations?”

Pompeo haltingly evaded the question: “So, you just gave me a report about an IC whistle-blower complaint, none of which I’ve seen.” When she followed up with “you say you know nothing about this,” Pompeo said he thought he saw a statement from the Ukrainian foreign minister that there was no pressure from Trump on the call.

So the secretary obviously knew all about the call and studiously tried to avoid saying so on “This Week.”

William Barr has also been pulled deeper into the drama. The attorney general was already been reported to have been surprised and angry that the president told Volodymyr Zelensky on the call to work with him on further investigation.

Now there’s a new country involved: The New York Times reported yesterday that Trump “pushed the Australian prime minister during a recent telephone call to help Attorney General William P. Barr gather information for a Justice Department inquiry that Mr. Trump hopes will discredit the Mueller investigation, according to two American officials with knowledge of the call.” (An Australian diplomat had discussed Russia and Hillary with since-convicted Trump campaign volunteer George Papadopoulos.) The AG also met with Italian officials last week.

Barr is, therefore, a crucial partner as Trump uses “federal law enforcement powers to aid his political prospects, settle scores with his perceived ‘deep state’ enemies and show that the Mueller investigation had corrupt, partisan origins,” says the Times.

Still, there’s video of Trump saying he wanted Barr to aid in the probe of the origins of the Russia investigation, so this was not a state secret.

The third major player now is Rudy Giuliani, who is taking issue with House subpoenas “signed only by Democrat Chairs.” (That is routine, as it was when Republican House chairmen signed subpoenas during the Benghazi probe.)

Giuliani, of course, has been a near-daily presence on television, defending his role in privately meeting with Ukrainian officials and doggedly trying to shift the spotlight to allegations of wrongdoing by Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

Giuliani’s combative interviews prompted the Biden campaign to ask the networks to stop putting him on and allowing him to spew lies. This was a Hail Mary pass that would obviously be swatted down, and an effort to generate some anti-Rudy headlines.

Not only would no network let a campaign dictate its bookings, but numerous anchors have aggressively challenged Giuliani on the air. In fact, some Democrats like Rudy on television because they think his sometimes heated style hurts Trump.

In a separate story, the Journal reports that Barr at times has been critical of Giuliani’s efforts, and that Trump, while appreciating his TV combat role, has occasionally mocked his personal lawyer.

Of course, there are also Democrats who have been given starring roles in the impeachment drama. One is Nancy Pelosi, who was just on “60 Minutes,” and has been saying she’s “sad” and “heartbroken” over impeachment in an attempt to tone down the rhetoric.

Another is Adam Schiff, the House Intel chairman, who made the mistake of exaggerating Trump’s Ukraine call in a hearing during what he now calls mockery. Trump has repeatedly questioned on Twitter why Schiff hasn’t been questioned for fraud and treason. (Treason?)

And, of course, the Bidens. Tucker Carlson’s show obtained a 2014 photo of the then-vice president and his son playing golf in the Hamptons with a board member of the Ukrainian gas giant that employed Hunter Biden. This obviously raises questions about Joe Biden’s contention that he did nothing to help his son in Ukraine and that they never discussed the matter.

Finally, there’s the unknown whistle-blower, who Trump has accused of sparking a “Democratic hoax” and whose lawyer says his life may be in jeopardy.

By setting their sights on two Trump Cabinet members and his lawyer, House Democrats have given themselves more targets. But they also risk muddying the narrative and allowing these Trump confidants to delay the investigation into next year’s campaign.

Washington (CNN) A federal judge on Wednesday rejected House Democrats’ effort to put two key legal cases the Judiciary Committee is pursuing in its impeachment investigation before the same judge.

There have been several important developments this week.  One is the ascension of Boris Johnson to office of Prime Minister of the UK.  The jury is still out on whether he’ll be able to extricate Britain from the European Union without remaining hostage to all manner of rules and regulations that deprive the nation of its sovereignty.  Prime Minister Boris began by firing his entire cabinet, largely made up of politicians who were determined that Britain must remain hostage to the EU.  He says that he’ll get the UK out of the EU by October 31st, “no ifs, ands or buts.”

          It’s a tall order, one that Theresa May couldn’t manage, and the British press may well make it as difficult as possible.  It seems that Boris Johnson gets along well with President Trump, which is two strikes against him as far as the media is concerned.  This situation is ticklish.  Nigel Farage, known as the “godfather of Brexit” says that great courage will be required of the new Prime Minister.  Mr. Farage believes that a general election should be called, and believes that would solidify the authority of the new administration do to what must be done.  That would fall in line with the things both Herbert W. and Garner Ted Armstrong were saying for 50 some years.  “Britain will NOT be one of the TEN nations of Bible prophecy that make up the ‘beast’ power of Revelation.

          The mainstream media is excited about both North Korea and Iran test-firing short and medium-range missiles.  That’s causing plenty of energetic reporting because it gives the opportunity for them to report the prospect of failure for President Trump’s foreign policies.  After the ruinous spectacle of the nationally televised Mueller hearings, they need something to hang their hat on.

          This was their last gasp.  They just had to get Mueller on camera to say something they could use to press ahead toward their impeachment dream.  But Mueller was a tremendous disappointment.  It looked like he’d had little if anything to do with the “report” that bore his name.  He was completely unfamiliar with passages and footnotes that appeared within the report that he’d supposedly written.  He’d apparently never heard of individuals and documents that were referenced (Glenn Simpson- Fusion GPS).  For a few hours, it looked like those who were just sure that Mueller would produce the ammunition to destroy the Trump presidency were completely out of gas and defeated.

          Even one of the most vocal proponents (Adam Schiff) of the “Trump-Russia” narrative concluded that the 2020 election remained the only method of getting rid of the Trump Presidency.  But the air of defeat didn’t last.  Soon, the networks were trotting out Congressmen to declare, “We have a felon in the White House.  He lied, he obstructed justice and now it’s the job of Congress to see that justice is done”  (Julian Castro, paraphrased).”  After some behind-the-scenes meetings, the Trump-haters have regrouped and put impeachment back on the table.  What else can they do?

          They certainly can’t allow the news-cycle to be dominated by the slow trickle of information that will (someday) expose American intelligence agencies for attempting to overturn the 2016 election with bogus, filthy accusations made by Russian sources—bought and paid for by the opposing campaign—and carried out by high officials who are still doing their level best to destroy the President.

So impeachment is back on the table, and full-throated accusers are lined up for national television appearances.

          It seems that there is plenty of documentation that will expose the plot and nail the high officials who put it in motion.  It was CLASSIFIED.  No one was authorized to access it, outside of a few individuals with high enough clearances, but they can’t tell us either.  As many may know, the President declassified these materials and placed them at the disposal of new Attorney General Robert Barr.  But they still haven’t been made public.  The President did a LIVE interview last night in which he was asked about these materials, and we heard the same answer.  “Bob Barr is highly respected, and it’s up to him to distribute these materials as he sees fit (paraphrased).”  That’s it.  Here we are, years into this debacle.  The mainstream media have been intentionally dishonest.  They have succeeded in convincing a sizable percentage of the public that Trump is a Russian agent, that he’s committed treason and is practicing criminality in the White House.  The release of fraudulent documents, some of which were used to get court orders allowing domestic agencies to spy on Americans involved with the Trump campaign, pilfer through all their calls, e-mails and communications records, might finally put the truth of the situation out in the open where it would expose the perpetrators and their scheme.

          For whatever reason (and we hope it’s a good one) the smoking-gun proof of their malfeasance remains hidden, and that’s where the mainstream media hopes it will stay.

          For all the hype and exaggerated expectations, the whole Mueller investigation was an embarrassing flop.  Now Mueller is a sympathetic figure.  It appears his name and his reputation were used to lend credibility to another rogue operation designed to take Trump down.  But it appears only a minor setback for his enemies.  They’ll continue to investigate while calling the President and any who dare support him RACIST!

          You might as well get comfortable with it.  If we love our country, want it to survive a sovereign land where freedom reigns, that makes us racist according to politically-correct dogma.  Unless you want everyone on earth to set up shop (or a tent on a sidewalk) in the United States, without going through the legal maze citizens must navigate, you are definitely guilty of their favorite charge.  If you’re not prepared to pass the overwhelming burden of debt of unlimited health-care for all illegals (can we see a raise of hands?) on to your progeny, you might be– no, you are a RACIST!

          That’s OK.  The Bible says to count it all joy when falsely accused and spitefully used.  So maybe we should be enjoying the constant drumbeat of hateful disgust aimed our way.  Sooner or later (we hope sooner) the curtain will be pulled aside, and no one will be able to ignore the fact that the entire information conglomerate has been hijacked and used for propaganda and misinformation for two and a half years!  It’s time we didn’t have to waste, and still don’t.

President Trump took extraordinary steps on Thursday to give Attorney General William P. Barr sweeping new authorities to conduct a review into how the 2016 Trump campaign’s ties to Russia were investigated, significantly escalating the administration’s efforts to place those who investigated the campaign under scrutiny.

In a directive, Mr. Trump ordered the C.I.A. and the country’s 15 other intelligence agencies to cooperate with the review and granted Mr. Barr the authority to unilaterally declassify their documents. The move — which occurred just hours after the president again declared that those who led the investigation committed treason — gave Mr. Barr immense leverage over the intelligence community and enormous power over what the public learns about the roots of the Russia investigation.

The order is a change for Mr. Trump, who last year dropped a plan to release documents related to the Russia investigation amid concerns from Justice Department officials who said making them public could damage national security. At the time, the president was being encouraged by a group of Republican Congress members to declassify the information.

Mr. Barr, who has used the word “spying” to describe how the Trump campaign was investigated, has been deeply involved in the department’s review of how intelligence was collected on the campaign. Mr. Barr has told Congress that he personally authorized the review. While he has asked John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, to spearhead it, a Justice Department official said that Mr. Barr has personally met with the heads of the intelligence agencies to discuss the review and that the project was a top priority after the release last month of the special counsel’s report.

One official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss classified matters, said previously that Mr. Barr wanted to know more about what foreign assets the C.I.A. had in Russia in 2016 and what those informants were telling the agency about how President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia sought to meddle in the 2016 election.

The C.I.A. on Thursday referred questions to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. A spokeswoman for the office did not respond to messages seeking comment.

The directive is likely to irk the intelligence community, which has long prized its ability to determine what information about its operations can be released to the public. During the investigations of the C.I.A.’s enhanced interrogation programs, the agency stymied investigators by refusing to declassify documents.

There could be other implications for the intelligence agencies. The C.I.A. considers confidential sources its most highly classified and most protected assets, and any investigation that could possibly force it to reveal those identities is likely to create a standoff. Last year, the agency lost trust in the Justice Department’s ability to keep the names of informants and sources secret after the identity of an F.B.I. informant who interacted with two Trump campaign officials under investigation, Stefan Halper, was revealed as part of congressional inquiries, according to former intelligence officials.

Late Thursday, Jeremy Bash, a chief of staff at the C.I.A. under President Barack Obama, said that the president’s move was “a very significant delegation of power to an attorney general who has shown he’s willing to do Donald Trump’s political bidding.”

“It’s dangerous,” he continued, “because the power to declassify is also the power to selectively declassify, and selective declassification is one of the ways the Trump White House can spin a narrative about the origins of the Russia investigation to their point of view.”

He added that confidential sources around the globe might be fearful of talking now.

“It sends a signal that their identity may be exposed for purely political purposes,” Mr. Bash said. “If I were in charge of intelligence operations, I would be worried about sources clamming up tonight.”

Mr. Barr has said that he believes Mr. Trump’s campaign was “spied” on, appearing to bolster unfounded accusations that Mr. Trump has made about the Obama administration illegally wiretapping his associates.

The dual decisions on Thursday were announced in a presidential memorandum, and explained in a statement by the White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The directive will “help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred, and the actions that were taken, during the last presidential election and will restore confidence in our public institutions,” the statement said.

Despite the significant step, there are indications there may be little criminality to uncover. Mr. Durham is conducting only a limited review, not a criminal investigation, which suggests Mr. Barr may not have identified enough wrongdoing to open such an inquiry.

Mr. Durham is not the only federal prosecutor who has been examining this issue. For over a year, John W. Huber, the United States attorney in Utah, also examined aspects of the Russia investigation until Mr. Durham subsumed that part of his work. When Mr. Barr’s predecessor, Matthew G. Whitaker, was the acting attorney general, and Mr. Trump repeatedly pressed for him to appoint a second special counsel, Mr. Whitaker told people he considered Mr. Huber to essentially be serving in that role.

No wonder Donald Trump was so angry.

No wonder he wanted to stop the Mueller investigation.

He didn’t collude with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016.

He knew he was innocent.

And almost three years ago he foresaw that a biased fishing expedition by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his liberal lawyers would undermine his ability to govern and provide Democrats and the liberal media with an endless supply of damaging political ammo.

Now that Attorney General William Barr released the redacted Mueller report, the whole world knows that Mueller completely exonerated Trump of collusion with Russia.

Mueller was unable to decide whether the president was guilty of obstruction of justice. But the desperate Democrats in the House and the disappointed fake journalists over at CNN don’t care that Mueller found Trump guilty of no crime.

They’ll spend the next 20 months parsing the Mueller report’s footnotes and milking the unanswered question of obstruction for every possible drop of political poison they can find.

By noon on Thursday CNN’s all-liberal panel of eight Trump-hating pundits and legal experts like Jeffrey Toobin already were back to their usual tricks.

They spent half the morning spinning the importance of the inconclusive “obstruction” part of Mueller’s report and trashing Attorney General Barr as a shill for the president.

Dana Bash and crew showed no sympathy for the unfair, incorrect, and deranged assault they and their soulmates at MSNBC, The New York Times, and elsewhere have subjected Trump to for three years.

You’d think Toobin and a few of the others would have been pleased to find out that the president of the United States did not collude or conspire with the Russians to fix the 2016 election.

Instead, ignoring how wrong they were about everything, they were excitedly talking about how the Mueller report’s examples of presidential obstruction attempts could serve as a handy road map to impeachment for House Democrats.

Some CNN panel members, to their shame, were visibly disappointed that Trump was saved by several staffers who had the good sense and ethics to refuse to do what he asked of them.

According to the Mueller report, there were ten examples of Trump trying to get control of the Russia investigation.

They included firing FBI Director James Comey, urging Trump’s useless Attorney General Jeff Sessions to “re-recuse” himself, and trying to get various staffers to lie or not cooperate with Mueller.

The facts surrounding those presidential attempts to interfere are not in dispute.

But the president never fired anyone, even though he had the Constitutional power to do it, and he never obstructed Mueller from doing his work.

The White House even turned over millions of documents and the president waived his right to use executive privilege.

If any of his White House staff had followed the president’s requests concerning the Mueller investigation there might have been a legitimate case for obstruction.

But they ignored him. And they did exactly what they are supposed to do — they kept the boss from making a serious mistake.

I say bravo to the president’s staff for saving his butt. They did their job. They protected President Trump from himself.

As the president’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Thursday, the president reacted to the Russia collusion charges the way any innocent man would react to a frame up.

President Trump had every right to be outraged and frustrated by Mueller’s investigation, which he always knew was a Democratic witch hunt.

If he never colluded with anyone in the first place, as Mueller has proved to the satisfaction of everyone except maybe Rachel Maddow and Adam Schiff, it’s hard to see how the president could be guilty of the crime of obstruction.

If anything, the only thing President Trump was guilty of was trying to obstruct injustice.
