Following Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s call to allow Jews to pray freely, police appear to have normalized defying the status quo at Temple Mount, under which Jewish worship is prohibited at the site. A police officer ignored a Jewish man who bowed while praying at the holy Jewish site on Wednesday. Jewish activists say that the police allowed them to pray as they wished.

Although the police turned a blind eye in the eastern side of Temple Mount, a Jewish activist was arrested after defying the status quo in the western side, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The eastern side is considered to be less provocative and holier to the Jewish people, which would explain the police’s attitude to the status quo there. However, the western side is frequented by more Muslims which would prompt the police to arrest any Jew who tries to stir controversy.

Reports spread on social media suggesting a ‘riot’ was set to hit the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield at 1pm today, while protesters gathered in Birmingham afterrumours of a gathering spread online and thugs clashed with police in Plymouth.

Frightened by the despairing scenes of violence and looting in other UK cities in recent days, many businesses have chosen to pull down the shutters ahead of time – while police have been mobilised in the town centre.

Elsewhere, staff and students at Oxford University were warned to avoid the area around the Carfax Tower in the city centre ahead of a feared protest.

A GP surgery in Birmingham also closed as hundreds of Muslims turned out to counter a rumoured far-right gathering while in Plymouth, arrests were made as anti-immigration protesters clashed with anti-fascists.

In Southport, meanwhile, locals have turned out peacefully with balloons, teddies and flowers to remember the victims of the attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last Monday.

It comes as some of the first rioting suspects were hauled before court after being arrested in connection with the outrageous scenes across the country in recent days – some of whom wept in the dock as charges were read out.

India’s interior ministry has said it was enacting a citizenship law that critics say discriminates against Muslims, just weeks before the world’s most populous country heads into a general election.

While the law was passed in December 2019, its implementation was delayed after widespread protests and deadly violence erupted in which more than 100 people were reported to have been killed.

The law grants Indian nationality to Hindus, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Christians who entered India from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh before December 2014 – but not if they are Muslim.

Late on Monday, the ministry of home affairs said the rules would now come into force.

Monday Kassah, president of the local government in Bokkos, Plateau State, said that 148 Bokkos villagers had been killed, while Dickson Chollom, an elected official from the neighbouring local assembly in Barkin Ladi, said “at least 50 people” were killed in the district.

The assailants targeted 17 communities in “senseless and unprovoked” attacks on Saturday and Sunday, burning down most houses in the area, Plateau Gov. Caleb Mutfwang said in a broadcast on the local Channels Television.

“As I am talking to you, in Mangu local governorate alone, we buried 15 people. As of this morning, in Bokkos, we are counting not less than 100 corpses. I am yet to take stock of (the deaths in) Barkin Ladi,” Mutfwan said. “It has been a very terrifying Christmas for us here in Plateau.”

In a mega exercise to revive vigilante groups armed by the government to defend against terrorist attacks, revamp of erstwhile Village Defence Committees is going on aggressively in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri. There are already 5,000 armed members in the district and more villagers are registering to get weapons from the police.

The committees have been renamed Village Defence Groups or VDG and are being revamped at such a large scale for the first time in over two decades. Each member is equipped with a .303 rifle and 100 rounds of ammunition. The government is also planning to equip them with SLR rifles.

The committees were set up almost 30 years ago when the law-and-order machinery had collapsed in Jammu and Kashmir. The administration was even criticised for abdicating its responsibility to protect common people and instead arming such groups. Eventually, the role of these committees was diminished as security forces regained control on the ground.

BERLIN (AP) — The German government on Wednesday banned a Muslim organization that it accused of supporting “terrorism globally with its donations.”

Police raided buildings associated with Ansaar International in 10 German states, the German Interior Ministry said in a statement. The ministry alleged the money the organization collected ostensibly went into welfare projects as a ruse to help finance groups such as the Syrian al-Qaida affiliate known as the Nusra Front, the Palestinian group Hamas and al-Shabab in Somalia.

“The organization Ansaar International and its sub-organizations were banned. The network finances terrorism globally with its donations,” an Interior Ministry spokesperson tweeted.

More than 1,000 police officers raided buildings and office spaces across Germany and confiscated about 150,000 euros ($180,000).

“When wanting to fight terrorism, one needs to dry out its money sources,” German Interior Ministry Horst Seehofer said. He alleged that Ansaar International “spreads a Salafist view of the world and is financing terror around the globe under the disguise of humanitarian help.”

A man who answered a phone call to the organization’s headquarters in the western German city of Duesseldorf immediately hung up when The Associated Press called seeking comment.

January 26, 2020 / JNS) Whether one considers the masses of Muslims who have been flowing into Europe as (primarily) economic refugees, proud hijra colonists “quietly” Islamizing the continent, or both, these newly arrived votaries of Islam express an unabashed Islamic Jew-hatred.

Their virulently anti-Jewish attitudes are consistent with the disproportionate, approximately three-fold increased rate of extreme anti-Semitism among Western European Muslims, in general, relative to non-Muslims, just reported Nov. 21, 2019 in the latest comprehensive Anti-Defamation League survey findings. Germany’s failed attempt to mollify this new Muslim immigrant animus toward Jews by “sensitivity” visits to Nazi-era concentration camp memorials demonstrates its deep-seated intractability.

The depressing failure to lessen Muslim immigrant Jew-hatred has garnered little attention. Contrast that with the much-ballyhooed pilgrimage to Auschwitz by what was characterized as “the most senior Islamic leadership delegation” to visit the location of a Nazi German death camp. This interfaith junket, spearheaded by Saudi “reformist” secretary-general of the Muslim World League (MWL), Mohammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa, and the CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), David Harris, took place four days before the 75th anniversary of the camp’s Jan. 27, 1945 liberation.

Far less widely reported was that al-Issa’s Muslim delegation was on a broader tour to “several sites of injustice,” including Srebrenica, Bosnia. There, during 1995, a tit for tat massacre of Bosnian Muslims—bearing no relationship in either scale or single-target, monomaniacal hatred to the Nazi Holocaust destruction of European Jewry–took place during a bloody civil war between the region’s Serbs and Muslims.

Here is the al-Issa/MWL tour’s stated purpose, as described in London-based Arabic daily Asharq al-Awsat:

“The visit of the Islamic delegation confirms the Islamic values and asserts that Muslims condemn every criminal act. The Islamic leaders will visit the sites and affirm that Islam is a religion of mercy and fairness and that it is against all malicious practices, adding that this is not limited to Muslims, but involves everyone. A large number of senior scholars of the MWL participated in various efforts to explain Islamic justice in its related positions, during several visits, meetings, initiatives, and declarations. This was reflected in the positive image of Islam and Muslims against all forms of extremism and radicalization.”

Moreover, in Saudi Arabia, al-Issa, despite being dubbed the so-called “new face of Saudi Wahhabism,” is viewed with understandable skepticism by genuine Saudi reformers. Political scientist Stephane Lacroix, who studies Islamic authoritarianism within Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, has noted, “As one Saudi intellectual said: ‘How can one take Mohammed al-Issa’s statements seriously when religious bookstores in Riyadh are full of books advocating the exact opposite?’”

To which Lacroix added: “Interview with a now-jailed Saudi intellectual, January 2018.”

Other imprisonments of dissident reformers by al-Issa’s powerful patron Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS), Lacroix concludes, “…makes MBS’s [and al-Issa’s] religious reforms look more like a public relations stunt than a genuine transformation. No such transformation can happen without an open and frank debate about the Wahhabi tradition—and this is precisely what MBS is not willing to have.”

Returning to al-Issa’s Auschwitz junket, and unpacking his statements about the Holocaust since 2018, demonstrates his rather odious expropriation of the Holocaust’s legacy for Muslim propaganda purposes.

Al-Issa’s putatively “landmark” Jan. 25, 2018, letter to the director of the U.S. Holocaust Museum, Sara Bloomfield, although decrying the Holocaust as “among the worst crimes ever,” was devoid of any reference to Jews as the victims, yet managed to emphasize, “True Islam is against these crimes.” Al-Issa added, mendaciously and contrary to Islam’s Sharia mandates for all non-Muslims and their historical application across 14 centuries, that “Islam has, through long centuries, coexisted with all religions, and respected the dignity of its followers.”

On April 30, in a “memorandum of understanding” with the AJC unveiling the planned visit to Auschwitz, al-Issa denounced the “heinous attacks in Pittsburgh​, Pennsylvania, in Christchurch, New Zealand, and most recently in Sri Lanka.” Al-Issa’s comments, however, ignored the endless paroxysms of violence by Muslims directed at the Jews of Israel, and the excessive, if more sporadic, ongoing Muslim attacks on European and American Jews. He also refused to acknowledge, let alone condemn, mainstream, institutional Islam’s continuous espousal of canonical Islamic Jew-hatred, and the resulting grossly disproportionate rates of extreme Muslim anti-Semitism, and Muslim anti-Jewish violence, worldwide.

There has been a longstanding refusal of Muslim leaders such as al-Issa to recognize the World War II-era Nazi collaboration—punctuated with overt calls for Jew-annihilation, by jihad—of arguably the most influential Muslim of that era: the jihadist, Caliphate-championing “godfather” of the Palestinian Muslim movement, Hajj Amin el-Husseini.

Contemporary Muslim leaders of al-Issa’s ilk have proven equally incapable of acknowledging how Muslim leaders such former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat admired Hitler even after World War II, or how after the war escaped Nazis—many of whom converted to Islam (most notably Johannes “Omar Amin” von Leers, whose conversion Husseini himself oversaw!)—were granted asylum, particularly in Egypt, and contributed to the incessant Muslim jihad campaigns to destroy Israel, and annihilate its Jews, from 1948 through (at least) 1973.

That reprehensible legacy of Muslim denial continues and now has been extended to ignoring the current global pandemic of Muslim Jew-hatred and anti-Jewish violence. This Muslim caricature of “Holocaust remembrance” further cynically equates the systematic Nazi annihilation of six million Jews during the Shoah with the Srebrenica murders of perhaps 7,000 Muslims during the 1990s Muslim-Serb civil war in Bosnia, a conflict rife with reprisal killings.

What ordinary, sensible Jews should “Never Forget” is that what passes for “Jewish leadership” proudly orchestrated this hideous spectacle of mutual Jewish-Muslim denial.

The media-political establishment of the United States of America suffers from remarkable hubris. Despite the atrocious conduct of the USA in recent times, the liberal media and the Democrat party continues to feign moral superiority over the rest of the world, especially India. As the USA continues to struggle through an era of the great divide, CNN has become the embodiment of the rot that has taken over the country. In an article published by CNN on the 20th of November titled “In secular India, it’s getting tougher to be Muslim”, the author expects India to tolerate a state of affairs that the USA will never tolerate within its own territory.

The author uses the abrogation of Article 370, the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi case and the NRC to paint a picture of Muslims in India living as second-class citizens.

The author of the CNN article about India says about the Ayodhya verdict, “The ruling on the Ayodhya site was seen as a blow to Muslims. It also came at a time when Muslims increasingly see themselves as second-class citizens in the predominantly Hindu country.” The author states further, “In August, the Indian government stripped the majority-Muslim state of Jammu and Kashmir of its autonomous status, essentially giving New Delhi more control over the region’s affairs.”

She adds, “That same month, nearly two million people in India’s northeast Assam state were left off a controversial new National Register of Citizens, which critics feared could be used to justify religious discrimination against Muslims in the state. All of this comes under the shadow of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a self-proclaimed Hindu nationalist who has spoken out repeatedly against India’s secularism.”

This is a deliberate attempt to slander India at the international scene. We can only be grateful for the fact that CNN is not taken seriously even in the USA, let alone in India. And it is precisely this adamant refusal of the alleged news network to ignore facts at the altar of a preferred narrative that has destroyed CNN’s credibility.

The Ayodhya verdict was delivered by the Supreme Court of India, the conclusion wasn’t decided by the Narendra Modi led government. Will liberals now say the Supreme Court has fallen victim to Hindu Nationalism as well? Of course they will, it’s because they respect institutions only when they peddle the liberal agenda. Regarding the abrogation of Article 370, will the USA tolerate a law that provides for an Islamic state within its territory? All of us know the answer to that question and yet, India is expected to tolerate the same. Why?

With regard to the NRC, it is the duty of every country to ensure that illegal immigrants do not leech off the limited resources that are available to it. And the exercise is designed to suit that purpose. The political establishment of the USA may have different ideas but it is the moral imperative of every government to prioritize its own citizens over illegal immigrants. The political establishment of both parties in the USA do not believe it to be so. That is why Donald Trump got elected in the first place.

One of the reasons why the USA is so divided today is because of immigration. The Democrats support it because it increases their vote-bank. The Republican establishment supports it because it benefits businesses. But the average American is sick of it and does not want such a thing. That is why they voted Donald Trump to power, someone who promised to fix it but has been unable to due to resolute resistance from the political establishment.

India has different priorities than the United States and we still live in a country where Democracy at least functions the way it is supposed to. Narendra Modi promised to abrogate Article 370, he promised to enforce the NRC in Assam, his rise to power is defined by the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement and he has never shied away from it. Indians elected Narendra Modi to power on the basis of these promises and he delivered on these fronts. This is how a Democracy is supposed to work, not like the USA where an overwhelming majority of Americans do not want illegal immigration but the political establishment of both parties conspire to force it upon them.

Then, the author of the CNN article argues that the future looked bleak for India because of the looming prospect of a Uniform Civil Code. She says, “Currently, India has separate marriage, property and adoption rules for people from different religions — but code would wipe those out. That particularly worries the Muslim community, as it could mean that Sharia law no longer governs their marriage, inheritance and succession rights.” And adds, “Analysts worry that India’s attempt at marrying a pluralist society with a secularist system of governance will continue to be chipped away at as the ideas proposed by Hindu nationalists gain mainstream credence and support from citizens and public institutions.”

It is a ridiculous assertion that could only find credence in the minds of Western liberals. Does Sharia have any place in American society? Would their favorite president Barack Obama propose Sharia law in America? Did Muslims live in great fear in the USA during Barack Obama’s tenure as President? They did not have Sharia law governing United States jurisprudence back then and they do not have it now either. If any party or politician would propose Sharia law in the United States, they would be hammered by everyone. Why is it then that Western liberals expect India to tolerate Sharia law in our country? Is the USA a less pluralistic country because it doesn’t have Sharia in its society?

Amusingly enough, the enforcement of a Uniform Civil Code is a pretty liberal idea and every liberal ought to celebrate the abolition of Sharia law. And yet, we see continuously that its liberals who explicitly support Sharia. It only goes on to show that liberals love Islam more than liberalism and liberalism ends where Muslim feelings begin.

The article also uses Asaduddin Owaisi, a rabid hatemonger whose own brother wanted the Police to be lifted for 15 minutes so that Muslims could show Hindus who were the boss, to further its own charade. It also uses various other ’eminent intellectuals’ to further the notion that India is headed towards dark times.

Apparently, in order to uphold Secularism and liberal values, CNN believes India has to tolerate an Islamic state within its territory, it has to tolerate Shariah law and it has to tolerate illegal immigration as well. Does this look anything like Secularism or Liberalism? If it does, India wants none of it and it voted for a party that wants none of it either. And the political party is respecting the voters’ wishes. That is how Democracy is supposed to function.
