The group, led by the family of Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing, said on Friday it had submitted a supplement to its earlier petition against the Panamanian state for international arbitration.

The supplement alleged that Panama continued to ignore the firm’s requests for communication while keeping the group in the dark about its occupation of the ports, property and personnel of its subsidiary, Panama Ports Company (PPC).

In a filing, CK Hutchison Holding said Tuesday that it would sell all shares in Hutchison Port Holdings and in Hutchison Port Group Holdings to the consortium in a deal valued at nearly $23 billion, including $5 billion in debt.

The deal will give the BlackRock consortium control over 43 ports in 23 countries, including the ports of Balboa and Cristobal, located at either end of the Panama Canal. Other ports are in Mexico, the Netherlands, Egypt, Australia, Pakistan and elsewhere.

It’s hard not to watch, almost impossible.  Elon Musk is “auditing” agencies, and we’re finding out some things we didn’t know were going on.  Hidden in the massive budget were things that you wouldn’t tell your children.

The Panama Canal is serious. I remember my Dad lamenting that the United States had lost control of this passage.  His contention was that the world’s shipping lanes could be used against us.  But he never saw President Donald Trump coming.  How I wish HWA and GTA could be alive to see what has happened. They never thought we’d make it to 2025, and even I had my doubts.  But now we’re here, and it’s like America is going to have a revival!

Executive orders are coming at such a pace that nobody knows how to respond, or if they do they’re keeping it to themselves.  Who wants to be humiliated by the President?  Ask a dopey question, and he’ll make you look stupid in front of everybody.  You notice, the press conferences are crowded with outlets previously uninvited, and the President takes questions for a long time.

Greenland, the Panama Canal and Gaza?  Does the United States really want to extend it’s jurisdiction to the far reaches?  You never know when he’s serious and when he’s just blowing off steam.  But everything he’s mentioned in his speeches, he’s since doubled down.  All those places that seemed out of reach, he’s brought back to light.  

Now there’s some scandal involving Politico, a name commanding respect among news organizations.  Turns out that tax dollars may have been paying for whatever the media wanted us to believe.  Right now you can’t keep up.  Things are happening fast.  So fast, making the explanation in advance, that the opponents have no time to respond.

At some point Trump is going to have to prove he means business.  I feel sorry for the poor guy who ticks him off that much.  

But they’re going after Elon, scrutinizing his financial contracts with the government, and finding conflict of interest!  Long ago, back in the 80’s when Reagan beat Carter, I was told you want somebody so rich that nothing matters. They don’t need to steal.  My Dad used to say,  “You can only eat one steak at a time.”  

We’re going to be finding out things that make us angry. They’ve been wasting money on a colossal scale, and we’ve known it.  But knowing it and proving it are two different things, and much to our disgust we’re going to get our faces rubbed in the corruption that’s been our government for ages.

There are going to be some tears alright. Some people may go crazy. Executive orders are coming down the pike so fast, nobody knows what to do. Some are screaming bloody murder, and not without reason.  We’re going to find out things we’ve suspected but hoped were not true.

I saw a clip by Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana, and it made me mad.  You can’t believe some of the stuff we’re funding around the world, to the tune of millions of dollars.  If this garbage gets into the public consciousnesses there’s going to be anger.  When we find out all the idiocy they’ve been wasting our money on, we’re not going to like it.  

We’re just finding out about the underground caves.  Apparently, while we’re wondering about AI, they’re storing all the documents, on paper, in a giant underground facility. They ride around on three wheeled tricycles to retrieve documents.  That’s not going to go over very well, in the age of computers.  

The left is losing its collective mind. Some of them thought they had it made, and now they don’t.  If there’s been graft, they’re scared to death. So they’re lashing out. Good luck! 

The rest of the world has taken notice. You can’t rip off the United States any more. We’re finding out our money went to causes we know nothing about, many that we wouldn’t agree with. Millions of dollars we knew nothing about.  

On the international scene, everybody wants to talk with the possible exception of the guys who have their identities covered. There is another deadline coming, and Trump has said all you-know-what is going to come if the agreements are not honored.  

Maybe we’re going to stop supplying the Ukrainians.  Word is that Trump is making agreements with Putin that Zelenskywill have to cover. Ukraine dare not be allowed entrance into NATO.  Zelensky better choke down whatever deal is offered.

There’s no way to keep up with all that is being done. You dare not blink. So far it seems like the things that Dad and Grandpa were talking about are still going to happen, just not now.  I wish they were here to see it. Me? I still can’t believe my eyes!

Executive orders are coming in such a blizzard that the Democrats have no time to issue a response, assuming they have one. Things are moving at warp speed, and the left is not happy.

We know what it’s like to be in a resigned frame of mind, but things that are being put in place now fly in the face of everything the mainstream has been pushing for how many years?  

Maybe we can relax. The geniuses are in charge and they’re keeping the left busy. You can’t react too quickly to what Trump says. Remember, he wrote the book on negotiations and never approaches something important half-cocked. For a while, we’ll be dealing with the remnants of a bygone era. It will be interesting to see how things change. Precedent is being undone at a blinding pace.  

The Panama Canal? Trump says the terms of the initial agreement have been broken. China has facilities at both ends of the Canal and that’s not good.  They’re saying that America pays the highest prices for passage, and they want us to cough up huge amounts for repairs. Trump is not looking kindly on the situation.

The talk of acquiring Greenland is something we hadn’t even thought of, but the issue has been raised in the past. But maybe that’s just a beginning point in the art of the deal, to coin a phrase. Who knows? The adults are in charge, and it sure feels good.

It seems like we’re being blessed, unless you’re on the wrong side of the law. Those people are losing their minds.

Executive orders are coming at such a pace, the lunatics barely have time to get mad! This talk of outsourcing our criminals? There are going to be court cases all over the place. They just can’t believe what’s been unleashed, and don’t know which way to turn.

We’ve lived most of our lives under poor leadership, exempting Ronald Reagan. Now, it looks like things are going to be put back right. The terrorists are scrambling to release the hostages before Trump gets frustrated. Everybody knows this guy means business, we just hope he doesn’t have to prove it.  

The Senate hearings have been…interesting. Maybe you’ve seen some of them. The left is scared. Their whole world is crumbling right in front of them.  All the nonsense we’ve had to put up with for decades is history. It looks like Trump will get the people he wants in positions of power.  

We’ve turned the page. No longer will we bemoan that they’re teaching gay classes at school. Chances are we won’t be seeing any men atop the podium showing off medals they won against real girls. We don’t have to hear about locker rooms any more. The networks are hurting, they no longer have a monopoly. You wonder what’s going to happen about TV? Everything has changed right in front of us.

Nothing lasts forever, not even the graft of those screaming the loudest.  We’re going to be getting our minds blown over the theft. Whole agencies are dedicated to it. You’ve seen the news on USAID? The left is furious, but haven’t figured out how to respond. It’s glorious!

Everything is happening so fast, you can’t keep up. We awoke to the news that an army helicopter had crashed with a commuter flight, and all were lost.  That’s going to be in the back of the mind of everyone flying. It’s a horrible thing to contemplate. You can’t imagine. Try not to.

It turns out that the illegals are going to be deported to Guantanamo Bay. They say there are 30,000 beds down there, and that allows them to go somewhere else, immediately.   

Having watched the hearings on Kash Patel, I can tell you it’s just like always. Democrat mainstays have the opinion that he’s not qualified. Then he hands them their hindquarters, or just rolls his eyes when they don’t stop until their time has expired. If confirmed, he will turn the F.B.I. on its head. Some of the naysayers took all the time questioning his abilities. Sometimes he had no time to answer. Republicans were complimentary and supportive. I quit watching when the gentlewomen from Hawaii began.  

Trump is moving at warp speed, leaving no time for naysayers to think things through, let alone respond. I think it’s a strategy that Trump knew would work. Big name newsmen are getting pushed aside. They can’t keep it together, and are trying to leave their jobs with their heads held high.  We’ve seen enough of their antics anyway.

They’re breaking their necks trying to get all the Israeli hostages back.  Israel has to release dozens of terrorists to get one hostage back. Iran, the Houthis, everybody better straighten up!

You can see that Trump intends to take no prisoners, so to speak.  He means business, and everybody’s taking note.

No doubt you’ve thought of someone who has died, and wished they could experience what we have. My Grandad wouldn’t have believed it, Dad wouldn’t either.  You had to live through it.  I think we’ve been living on the fumes of what Ronald Reagan set in motion, and Trump is even better. These government agencies are going to quit going after law abiding people, trying to get them on something. We’ve entered an era that none of us has ever experienced before. How long have they been shoving their nonsense down our throats.? Trying to make it sound like we were the ones out of touch.  Now they’ve gone quiet, have you noticed? Executive orders are coming at such a pace that nobody knows what to say.

But some of the thorniest situations have yet to be solved. You’ve probably seen some of the hostage release in Israel, and realize that it’s sheer bedlam.  They better get their act together, or there’ll be some retribution.  

What about the situation in Ukraine? I have full confidence that Trump and Putin will work it out, and they better go back to whatever they were doing before this all started.

What about the Panama Canal? Who knows. Jimmy Carter made one of his biggest mistakes by giving it away. Can you imagine the panic? Uh oh.  He wants it back! 

God, in His mercy, thought we needed more time.

By next week’s Update, Trump will be President.  He’s already introduced subjects we’d given up on, and is putting everybody on notice.  The Panama Canal?  They’re probably running around like chickens with their heads cut off.  He’s going to take it back?  Says the rules have been broken and now…  We’ll have to wait and see.  

The whole world is jumping around in expectation of Trump being the boss.  We have no idea what is about to happen.  The idea that this global warming doctrine is going extinct and we’re about to start drilling is mind-boggling.  You have to go back to the early eighties to get rid of the global warming doctrine.  Young people can’t even remember a time when it wasn’t dogma. 

Imagine a world where global warming is no longer an issue.  They’ve been cramming this nonsense down our throats since the 80’s, and with any luck it has run its course.  How are you going to get it under control, assuming you believe in it, if China and India aren’t playing ball?  You’re not.  It was probably a bogus theory anyway, but we’re all through being the butt of the world’s jokes.  Nobody’s laughing anymore.

We just got news that the inauguration will move indoors.  I bet those responsible for making sure nothing goes wrong are relieved.  But I don’t think killing Trump will turn this thing around.  He’s already named most of his cabinet and important positions, and they think like we do.  We’d given up hope that the U. S. would ever return to its senses.  The media was in lockstep.

We were so deeply entrenched that it looked like there was no going back. But here we go!  All the way to the Panama Canal.  My dad used to do programs on how the United States used to control the sea lanes, and the Panama Canal was a big deal.  Trump looks like he wants to right many of the wrongs that have been done in the name of some righteous cause.  Jimmy Carter might have been a good man, but he was a terrible president.  Some have outdone him since.

The world is going to start looking different now that the United States is taking it’s rightful place in the grand scheme of things.  I don’t know about you, but I think they pushed things too far.  We’ve been quiet, polite I guess, but they awakened everybody with men winning all the medals in women’s sports events.  You can’t even imagine getting to share the locker room with the girls.  But it was just too much.  Eventually everybody saw red.  

Elon is scaring the Germans, and the Trump effect will be massive.  Everybody better start doing the right thing, or there’s going to be trouble.  Probably nobody will dare take on the United States. If they do, it will be the end of something.  Trump keeps saying they’d better get the war under control and return the hostages, or “all H— is going to rain down” or words to that effect.  Then he strides confidently off stage, leaving that as a last thought.  They’re working feverishly on it.  Probably most of the unreturned hostages are dead though we hope not.  We can’t imagine the mental anguish, the degradation they’ve experienced.  

In California?  The Santa Ana winds come every year.  Sometimes they’re really strong, like 80 miles an hour.  Fires are always a concern.  Drain the reservoirs and send the available water out to sea, and there’s devastation.  The photos are enough to make you cry.  Imagine what those people are going through.

The whole world is about to change.  We’re getting another chance to make everything right.
