DUBAI/CAIRO, July 20 – Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis said on Monday they were imposing a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, a move that opens a new front against the United States in its war on Iran and widens the threat to global energy supplies and trade beyond the Gulf.

Iran had pressed the Houthis to close the Bab el-Mandeb gateway to the Red Sea if the U.S. continued to attack Iranian power infrastructure.

In their statement, the Houthis’ armed forces said they were declaring “a maritime embargo against the criminal Saudi enemy, based on the equation of ‘an eye for an eye’, effective immediately…”

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement in Riyadh on September 17, 2025. The joint declaration, issued by the Saudi Press Agency, stated that “any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.” This language mirrors the collective defense clauses of formal alliances, signaling a significant step beyond the informal security ties Riyadh and Islamabad have long maintained.

They wait in vain for Trump to commit some kind of gaffe so they can start playing offense. But he’s got the brightest minds advising him and he’s probably not going to make that kind of error.

Comey has himself back in the news. He’s the only one who didn’t know what those spelled out shells meant. He was completely clueless, and he’s got the look on his face to prove it. You and I knew immediately that it was a call to assassinate the President. But the former head of the F.B.I., he had no idea. Not only that, he was the one to publicize it. And he was the head of the agency.

If you didn’t see Jake Tapper on the Megan Kelly show you must. He apparently is admitting that he got it wrong, scolding people for even suggesting Joe Biden was unfit. He’s coming clean, and some are suggesting that he’s doing it simply because he stands to make money on his book. Then again, maybe it was the only option to saving his career. We’ll have to see if he succeeded. Megan Kelly played him scolding one of the Trump daughters in law for “poking fun at his stutter.” She explained that she didn’t even know he had a stutter, for all the good it did. He’s saying he’s apologized for all that, and his BOOK!

One of these issues of defiance is going to end up at the Supreme Court, and they’ve already ruled on some issues, and not exclusively for the President.

I watched the entire Trump visit and speech in Saudi Arabia, but the question I want answered was never asked. Why don’t you use some of your billions, which came from us buying your oil, to build the so-called Palestinians a beachfront resort? Instead, Qatar gave us an expensive 747. Somebody suggested Trump was accepting it personally and immediately regretted the question.

But having put up with their “rules” for several years, I don’t want to do it again. Please, replace the TSA! We ought to be checking their identities.

The trip, the parts we were shown, was a big success, and I’m sure they’re bowing and scraping all over the world. For decades now, nobody cared what the U.S. thought or was doing, and the world ran amok. Now everybody’s tripping over each other trying to get on Donald Trump’s good side.
