The Supreme Court on Monday paused a ruling by a federal judge in Los Angeles that imposed restrictions on the ability of federal agents to make immigration stops that the plaintiffs say are based on racial profiling. The order by U.S. District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong barred agents in the Central District of California – an area with a population of approximately 20 million people – from making such stops without reasonable suspicion that the person being stopped is in the United States illegally. Reasonable suspicion, Frimpong added, cannot rest solely on any combination of four factors: “apparent race or ethnicity,” speaking in Spanish or accented English, being present at a location where undocumented immigrants “are known to gather” (such as pick-up spots for day laborers), and working at specific jobs, such as landscaping or construction.

Greetings from Tyler,

They think they’ve got him. Somehow the mainstream media knows that the Iran strikes didn’t finish Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and maybe a couple of months at most and the mullahs will be as dangerous as ever. This makes Trump apoplectic. He’s pretty sure Iran has been dealt with. But the media have their sources.

Nobody could possibly know the extent of the damage this soon. They bombed the nuclear sites with bunker buster bombs, so who’s going to go check out the damage? I’m pretty sure Iran got set back by more than a few months, but you’d never know it from their public proclamations. They’re saying they won the war!

Iran won the war, according to everybody in Iran that doesn’t want to be killed. We’ve been hearing for years what nice people Iranians are, and that they’re ruled by zealots still living in centuries past. So why haven’t they revolted and ousted the ayatollahs? There’s all kinds of speculation, some have been executed and many more imprisoned as the weird guys try to stay in power.

The media has decided to make a big deal over the early reports of destruction at Iran’s nuclear facilities. They want to fight over something they can’t possibly know. They’ve decided to drive Trump absolutely crazy, claiming that the damage was not as advertised. The media has not been forthright with us for a long time.

The mainstream is at its wits end trying to bring down Trump. They’re trying to convince us that it’s only a matter of time. You read the mainstream media dripping with innuendo. It’s only a matter of time, they’ll turn us all against Trump eventually, or so they think. They say Trump is making things worse, insisting on his version. It’s enough to make you stop reading. THIS TIME they’ve got him, or so the mainstream thinks. Trump’s loyal support groups are leaving him, they tell us. He’s picking fights with moderates who supported him.

Our news has been full of courts overruling Trump policies. But the Supreme Court just decided that the lower courts cannot issue nationwide injunctions. The liberals on the Supreme Court are panicking as the majority pushes out rulings favorable to the President. Probably the thing they are most upset about is the birthright citizenship issue. The naysayers are saying the Supreme Court is “declaring open season on all our rights.” Call me crazy, but I’m not worried.

For years my Dad chronicled the downfall of the U. S. and a lot of it was linked to this theory that illegal immigration was a good thing. Some of you will remember when Ronald Reagan decided to legalize the ones already here, and that was supposed to be the end of it. But it only served as encouragement.

Now the left is outraged about people in CHURCH being accosted about their citizenship. The media is incensed that foreigners are being deported. What they believe is not part of the equation. They can be good Christians at home too. There are sob stories galore, we can’t even begin to absorb them all.

Some of you have traveled overseas, and it used to be one of the things people aspired to do.Well everybody wants to come here, worse than ever. Europe has been ruined largely with the influx of refugees from the Middle East. This has not exactly been good for the Europeans. Some Europeans have always looked down their noses at Americans, they feel superior somehow. You can see vestiges of it in the meetings they hold.

European leadership is still singing the song of the past twenty years. They can do anything that relates to “saving the planet.” Well, we’re no longer interested in “saving the planet,” we’d like to live and prosper. And they think we’re the idiots.

As for the Ukraine. That’s next on the agenda and that might be a little more difficult, because Putin thinks he is winning, and maybe he is. You have to be willing to write off a lot of lives to let the war go on. But for now, it goes on.

NATO has agreed to five percent defense spending. We’ll see.

Mark

The post Weekly Update by Mark Armstrong – June 27, 2025 first appeared on Garner Ted Armstrong Evangelistic Association.

The court is scheduled to issue opinions on Thursday and these are the major outstanding cases:

– Birthright citizenship –

The case is ostensibly about Donald Trump’s bid to scrap birthright citizenship but it actually turns on whether federal judges have the right to issue nationwide blocks to presidential decrees.

It is perhaps the most significant of the remaining cases since it could have far-reaching ramifications for the ability of the judiciary to rein in Trump or future US presidents.

Washington — The Supreme Court on Monday lifted a lower court order that prevented the Trump administration from deporting migrants to countries that are not their places of origin without first giving them the chance to raise fears of torture, persecution or death.

The order from the high court is a victory for the Trump administration, which has faced recent setbacks from the justices in its efforts to swiftly deport migrants as part of its crackdown on immigration. The Supreme Court’s order clears the way for the Trump administration to resume deportations to third countries while legal proceedings continue.
