Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign told a Pennsylvania court that he would be endorsing Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump ahead of his Friday afternoon address in which he suspended his 2024 presidential campaign.

Kennedy made his endorsement official in a Pennsylvania court filing on Friday, which said that he is withdrawing from the ballot in the state “as a result of today’s endorsement” of Trump.

Trump will hold a rally later today in neighboring Glendale, Arizona, just miles away from where Kennedy made his address in Phoenix. Trump’s campaign has teased that he will be joined by “a special guest,” though neither campaign responded to messages about whether Kennedy would be that guest.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met with Niger’s Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine on Friday to formalize the end of the United State’s military presence in the country.

The announcement comes a month after Niger’s military junta revoked a 12-year-old security pact with Washington that allowed U.S. forces on Nigerian soil to combat Islamist terrorists in the region.

The withdrawal is expected to take place over the next few months.

Relations between Niger and the United States have deteriorated since last year when a military coup pushed out the democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum and installed the current junta.

Italy has formally notified China of its withdrawal from Beijing’s ambitious belt and road infrastructure initiative (BRI), a significant trade and infrastructure project, according to two government sources.

The decision, which had been expected for some time, was reportedly communicated to Beijing three days ago, although no official communication has been released by either side.

The Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, has long been critical of the project and had expressed her intention to withdraw from the deal, seen by many as an effort by China to buy political influence but having limited benefits for Italy.

Nov. 7 (UPI) — Russia finalized its withdrawal from the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe on Tuesday, declaring the Cold War-era agreement null and void nearly two decades after Moscow suspended the armistice.

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement overnight, saying the historic peace accord ratified in 1990 between NATO and Warsaw Pact alliance countries, including the former Soviet Union, “has finally become history for Russia.”

In a related move, the Kremlin also revoked two other longstanding agreements, including the Budapest Agreement of Nov. 3, 1990, and the Flank Document of May 31, 1996 — which were designed to address issues related to arms control and disarmament that had persisted in the years after World War II.

In response to Russia’s decision, NATO said it intends to suspend operation of the treaty “for as long as necessary.”

The announcement marks one of Russia’s most significant retreats and a potential turning point in the war, now nearing the end of its ninth month. But it has brought a sceptical response from Ukraine’s government.

Shoigu said on television that he would “proceed with the withdrawal of the soldiers” after a proposal by the commander of Russian operations in Ukraine, General Sergei Surovikin.

Surovikin, in overall command of the war, also appeared on TV. He acknowledged that it was “not at all an easy decision” to make but explained that it was no longer possible to supply Kherson city.
