BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — The Hamas movement and Israel reportedly reached an agreement to ease violence on the borders between the besieged Gaza Strip and southern Israel.
The Al-Hayat newspaper reported that Egyptian intelligence officials managed to reach an agreement between the two parties; the Hamas movement reportedly agreed to cease all border violence, including “The Great March of Return” protests and and incendiary balloons’ launch, in exchange for lifting the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza.
According to Al-Hayat, the possible agreement would not only put an end to the weekly protests at the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip, but to incendiary balloons and kites continuously launched from Gaza as a mean of protest.
