Two American-flagged merchant ships have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz, according to the US military, following Donald Trump’s vow to free stranded vessels.
US forces on Monday launched an effort to guide commercial tankers through the vital waterway, where hundreds have been stuck since the Iran war began on February 28.
The American military also denied Tehran’s claims that it struck a US Navy vessel southeast of the strait on Monday.
