Indian Navy to deploy war ships in Arabian Sea after drone strike

The MV Chem Pluto was struck by an Iranian-launched drone in the Indian Ocean, according to a Pentagon statement on Saturday. This strike took place even as a task force led by the United States attempts to address comparable issues in the Red Sea

After an Israel-affiliated commerce vessel was struck off the Indian coast over the weekend, the Indian navy warned late on Monday that it will “maintain a deterrent presence” by deploying guided missile destroyer ships in the Arabian Sea.

Initial investigations suggested that the attack on the ship, MV Chem Pluto, which docked in Mumbai on Monday, may have been carried out by drones, according to a statement from the Indian military.

“Further forensic and technical analysis will be required to establish the vector of attack, including type and amount of explosive used,” the statement added.
