Beirut, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) The United Nations Peace Forces in Lebanon (UNPFL) confirmed the existence of a tunnel connecting the nation with northern Israel, local media reported on Friday.
The head of UNPFL, Brigadier General Stefano Del Col, together with a technical team, verified the work near the city of Metulla, in the north of occupied Palestine.

UNIFIL will now continue to monitor actions, according to a communiqué from the international contingent.
Del Col chaired a meeting between the UN force and the Lebanese and Israeli armies, coinciding with operations by the Israeli government to destroy tunnels allegedly built by the Lebanese political-military organization Hezbullah.
